Remember the return of the Chocolate-Covered Peanut Butter Sandwich I happened upon at Pooh Corner in Disneyland recently? If not, take a moment to click this link and gaze upon the wonder of it, then meet me right back here.
Okay, ready? Now, right next to it in the bakery case was another chocolate-covered treat: the Mickey S’more.
And just like its neighbor, the Peanut Butter Sandwich, after being discontinued for a few months, the S’more has received a bit of a makeover. [Read more…]
It’s been a while since we’ve visited one of my favorite nosh spots: Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. That’s right… it’s Earl’s, Disneyland-style!
We’re back for a quick visit because I couldn’t wait to dig into the Pepperoni Pizza Bread (and I maaaay have grabbed a few other items, too). The ingredients are exactly what you’d figure: sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on bread. [Read more…]

Anyone remember this beauty?
Oh, MY… how I loved the Peanut Butter Sandwich: a simple but practically perfect sweet-and-salty mix of peanut butter and graham cracker covered in a thick layer of chocolate! It used to be widely available in both Disney World and Disneyland. Then it slowly was removed from the scene in Disney World, to be found ONLY in Disneyland.
And then, the worst came to be. We got word that it was being phased out in Disneyland as well. And you ALL know the pain of having one of your favorite Disney snacks ripped mercilessly from your grip.
BUT…
One of the best things about summer has to be enjoying fresh corn on the cob, straight from the farmer’s market! And one of our favorite recipes to make with that fresh corn is the Corn Chowder Soup from the Storytellers Cafe at Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.
This is no ordinary corn chowder – it’s filled with fresh corn, potatoes, and chicken. And, to make it even more delicious, it’s topped with crumbled bacon!
This dish really is a must-try at Storytellers Cafe and now you can make it at home any time you want.
Making this soup will take some time, but it’s perfect for a rainy day!

It’s not everyday we get to report to you from Disneyland — but we sure wish it was!
Recently, Dining in Disneyland columnist Heather Sievers found herself in Critter Country at Hungry Bear Restaurant. In this leafy back corner of the park, she soon realized it was just the right time for a snack. Or maybe that realization happened because she saw THIS.
I mean, a Diamond Celebration Mine Car Bucket filled with anything would be pretty special. I’m thinking popcorn, ice cream (for a crowd?), or maybe even cotton candy would fit the bill nicely. After all, this looks an awful lot like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Popcorn Bucket that we showed you once upon a time. [Read more…]
We’re SOARIN’ from coast to coast! The beloved Soarin’ attraction premiered with a brand new film, Soarin’ Around the World, in both Disneyland and Disney World recently (not to mention Shanghai Disneyland, too!).
And over in Disneyland Resort, our DFB Disneyland Correspondent Heather Sievers noticed something new-to-her when she soared once again in Disney California Adventure: Coke Freestyle Machines have been installed right near Soarin’ at Grizzly Peak Refreshments! [Read more…]

We are back with another of our favorite Disneyland Snack Hacks! And this time, it’s dessert all the way, my friends. Previously, we shared with you some winners, like the Saucy Cheddar Cheese Stick and our very own Churro Sundae. And who could forget the Tajin Dole Whip? YUM.
Dining in Disneyland authority Heather comes up with some amazing ideas when it’s time to snack in Disneyland. And it seems that Churros, in particular, lend themselves really well to new snack ideas. Today, we’re gonna dip ’em.
I know, I know what you’re gonna say. You can get Churro Bites with Dipping Sauces over at the Cozy Cone Motel. While they’re pretty good, there’s room for improvement. [Read more…]

We are back with another “ya gotta try it” Disneyland Snack Hack today!
Our Dining in Disneyland guru Heather is full of fantastic ideas when it comes to inventing brand new snacks. And starting with a favorite is always a guarantee for success.
For our latest Snack Hack, we’re heading straight into Disney California Adventure. [Read more…]
Royal St. Veranda in New Orleans Square is one of my favorite dining gems in Disneyland. They are most known for their Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl, but I go there for the fritters!
This spot is located just underneath the staircase to the Dream Suite — right next to Pirates of the Caribbean. It’s simply a walk-up window and a few tables and chairs scattered around. Nothing major, and nothing visually to draw you in. But the menu has always been a guest favorite and you’re about to see why!
