We have a tour and review for you today of a brand new spot that’s just opened at Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs) — Joffrey’s Tea Traders Cafe!

The retail shop and tea counter is the brainchild of Joffrey’s, a name that you’re most likely familiar with if you enjoy coffee and tea while out and about at Walt Disney World. Joffrey’s is the official coffee of Disney World and Disneyland, and operates many kiosks and stands throughout Disney parks and resorts.

Atmosphere

Tea Traders Cafe is located in The Landing area of Disney Springs. If you’re trying to get your bearings, it’s the ground that was once known as Pleasure Island.

Review: Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Terrace

UPDATE: Please note that the Tomorrowland Terrace has been redesigned; this location is now the Galactic Grill serving Star Wars-themed foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 

Greetings from THE FUTURE!!

Tomorrowland’s version of the Future, that is! We’re grabbing a quick bite at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Terrace (not to be confused with Disney World’s  seasonally open Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant). Would you believe I’ve never reviewed this spot for the blog before? Well, my recent trip out west for the kickoff of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration finally gave me an opportunity to change that. So, let’s blast off!

Atmosphere

The setup at Tomorrowland Terrace is fairly simple. It’s an outdoor spot, primarily, though the ordering area and a fair amount of seating are covered by an overhang.

News: 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Probable Booking Date, and More Special Events

A day after the big news about ABC’s The Chew filming from the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, we’ve got more updates for ya!

Food and Wine Festival Updates The Flying Fish Café at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has announced its Winery Event Series taking place throughout this year’s festival. And for the first time, all Flying Fish events will be booked through the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Event booking system.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 30th, 2015 — that’s the day that booking will open for these Flying Fish events! And because Food and Wine Festival events normally begin booking on the same day, we suspect that this will be the day general booking begins for ALL Epcot Food and Wine Festival special events and low-cost events. Note that we don’t have this booking date confirmed by Disney for all events, so it’s subject to change. But we figured we’d let you know for planning purposes.

The 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival will run for more than 7 weeks — September 25-November 16, 2015. And one of the biggest draws to the festival are the World Showcase Marketplace Booths that are set up throughout the different countries of World Showcase. Review: Pop-Tarts® Breakfast Sandwich at Pop Century Resort

So, Everything Pop Food Court at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is at it again.

We recently shared our review of lunch here. But when we heard of a new-to-us breakfast sandwich, I knew we needed to get in gear and head back to Everything Pop asap.

In the past, Pop Century has brought us such greats as Twinkie Tiramisu, Tie-Dyed Cheesecake, and Mom’s Night Out TV Dinners, but this one…this one is going to take some getting used to.

The Pop-Tarts® Breakfast Sandwich

OK, so here we go. This unique breakfast sammy includes: eggs, bacon, cheese (pretty standard, right?) and…Pop-Tarts. Yep. Pop-Tarts. As in the original breakfast toaster pastry.

And I may be able to understand the whole thing if they were using the un-frosted brown sugar version…that might give it a fun, breakfast-y sweet/salty thing. But, no. They’re sandwiching the egg, bacon, and cheese between two frosted strawberry Pop-Tarts. Wha?!?

Yeah, so, that’s happening.

Review: Troll Horn and Rice Cream at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in Epcot’s Norway

You know how I love finding out about new eats and treats all over Disney World and Disneyland, right?

Well, I can tell you it has been keeping me pretty busy lately! We’re talking Caramel Sticks in Disneyland’s Candy Palace, and Baked Lobster Mac and Cheese at the Beastly Kiosk in Disney’s Animal Kingdom (oh, and umm… poop candy at the new Zuri’s Sweets Shop, while we’re at it). We’ve got two new flavors of ice cream over at L’Artisan des Glaces, and… the list goes on and on!

And it’s super fun — it really is. But eating NEW things all the time means that I never have time — or stomach space — for my old favorites. Well, today I wanted to re-try two of my favorite snacks over at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in Norway’s Epcot. After all, they’ve both gone through some changes since we last reviewed them, so they ARE technically “new” in some ways!
