While this shopping, dining, and entertainment district can be just as busy as — or even busier than — the parks some days, it’s still one of our favorite places to stop for some stellar retail therapy and some of the best restaurants around. A while back, we learned that a new store would be coming soon, and now that store is officially open!

The latest update that has fans up in arms is Disney’s announcement that a new Monsters, Inc. land would be taking over the current Muppets Courtyard space in Hollywood Studios. Before the announcement, much speculation had stirred about where exactly the new land would go — and now that we know, fans are convinced Disney just blew a big opportunity.
