The wait is over (and just in time!) as the details on the low-cost seminars and demos that showcase the delicious and educational options of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival are available.

First Look! 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Merchandise and Artwork

Excitement is building for the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

We got our first look at festival artwork at the recent Food and Wine Festival preview, and people are already talking about how much they love it! I adore how they’ve worked World Showcase landmarks into the colorful art.

Today, we’re psyched to share with you some of the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival artwork and other merchandise that will be featured during this year’s event!

This year’s signature artwork is quite a departure from last year’s more photojournalistic style. In 2013, the mood has turned whimsical, and the familiar motif of this year’s festival decor turns up in the background, but in a softer pastel palette.

Look closely, and you’ll even spy Remy from Ratatouille perched in the top of the bumbling chef’s toque!

Other Epcot Food and Wine Festival Merchandise: Figurines, Pins, Vinylmation, and More

The chef is also the star of a new 7-inch bobble figurine, made extra awesome because he’s balancing on top of Spaceship Earth!

Disney artists have also created new character artwork with Mickey, Goofy, and Donald in chef whites. The character pieces are reminiscent of similar vintage-inspired pieces that we’ve spied in the Italy pavilion.

We can’t wait to see all the cool ways these three will be featured!

Guest Review: Culinary Demos at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival

It’s time to start getting excited about the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival! Today, we’re whetting your whistle as guest reviewer @MealTrip joins us with mini-reviews from four culinary demos presented at the 2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. Read on and learn what to expect this year at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival culinary demos.

The Culinary Demonstrations held at the Festival Welcome Center (the old Wonders of Life Pavilion), provide a great gateway for those looking into any of the extra “pay to attend” events at the Food and Wine Festival. At $12 to $15 per person, per seminar, they really are one of the best values at the festival.

A representative from the winery, a chef, and an interviewer are present during the experience to talk about the wine you’re sampling, and actually prepare a version of the dish in an on-stage kitchen. In most cases, there’s also time to get a few questions from the audience answered. (Okay, again for the realists out there, there’s a much larger kitchen behind the kitchen on stage, where your food is being prepared at the same time.)

While it is recommended that you reserve a spot early (booking begins on August 13th for everyone; August 9th for Tables in Wonderland and DVC members, Golden Oak Residents, and Annual Passholders), you can also check in at the Festival Center when the park opens to see what’s still available for the day.

We have also confirmed that a brand new dessert will be coming to the Australia Booth — a Pavlova with Fresh Driscoll’s Berries and Vanilla Custard. And a new kids’ dessert will pop up at the Desserts and Champagne Booth — a “frozen s’more” smoothie!

We’ve got great news for Disney Dole Whip lovers!!

Dole Whip Debuts at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival!

Dole Whip Is Coming to the 2013 Food and Wine Festival!

That’s right! It was such a huge hit at the Flower and Garden Festival earlier this year that it’s back by popular demand.

There’s one major change, though — this time around, the Dole Whip will be orange!

And there are plans to serve with a liqueur once more. While the flavor profile isn’t finalized, I can tell you it’s going to be a very delicious addition to the enhanced Food and Wine Festival Menu at the Refreshment Port!
