At this weekend’s Destination D23, we got a sneak peek at a galactic superstar coming to the hotel, saw that REAL lightsaber in action, learned more about lightsaber training, and more! We even got our first sneak peek at the kind of merchandise that will be available during the two-night interactive experience.

One of Disney’s largest fan events has brought us a LOT of exciting news this morning including some about Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Disney World’s Star Wars hotel that opens in March. We got a peek at the lightsaber experience and more, AND we know a little bit more about one of the hotel’s characters!
We’ve seen various versions of the iconic Star Wars lightsaber over the years, but never a REAL one — until recently. During Disney’s D23 event, we got the inside scoop on some of the exciting new things coming to the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, including another look at Disney’s REAL lightsaber!Â

If you are a huge fan of Star Wars, chances are you’ve heard about the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser coming to Disney World next year. Well, there are some super exciting things coming to this immersive trip including unique food, exclusive merchandise, and one-of-a-kind experiences including lightsaber training!

We’ve learned more about the food onboard, debunked some myths about the hotel rooms, and even seen what it’s like to step inside the hotel. We also found an answer to the question “How REAL are the lightsabers on board?” Now we’re answering another very important question for some guests: What happens if you get claustrophobic during your stay?

The Star Wars hotel is a new, 2-night immersive experience in Disney World coming in March 2022. We’ve learned just how big these rooms will be and debunked some of the myths, and now we have a sneak peek at some of the merchandise that will be available for guests staying at the Star Wars hotel!
It’s an exciting day for Star Wars fans. First, it’s Life Day — which is a Wookiee celebration honoring family, happiness, and harmony, as well as Wookiee culture. And you can celebrate from home with new merchandise Disney just released online.

But we also got even MORE details about the Galactic Starcruiser, aka the Star Wars Hotel, including new information about how the lightsaber training experience will work.

We’ve already heard a bit about the food you’ll find on the ship, what the experience will be like when you step aboard, and more. We’ve also gotten a peek at some of the hotel rooms on the ship, including one equipped with what looked like TINY bunk beds. But, just how small or big are those bunk beds? We’ve got some NEW details.

One of the parts of the hotel that we’ve also been getting some information on (and seeing images for) are those hotel rooms. And today we’re debunking some myths (like how small the beds are) and giving more details on the rooms at this pricey new hotel experience.Â
You’ve had space food in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and food in space at EPCOT’s Space 220, but soon fans will get to get another space eating experience at the Star Wars Hotel (Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser).
