The fall months bring relatively cooler temperatures, Halloween decorations, and entertainment, and lots of families hoping to enjoy fall break from school. This fall in Disney World will be an exciting time as TRON Lightcycle / Run has started using a standby line, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is up and running, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is ongoing, and the Lightning Lane system has recently changed. But these changes aren’t the only ones likely to be happening at the parks; your trip might be getting a bit more expensive.

From September 15th through October 15, Disney is planning to celebrate Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month by offering a litany of food options throughout Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort. According to Disney, their culinary team has drawn inspiration from classic flavors of Hispanic and Latin American cultures to craft a lineup “filled with a variety of mouthwatering bites and sips that will transport you to these cultures with each bite.” So, let’s dive in.

If you heading to Disney World this month, you still have time to grab a discounted ticket deal! Disney began offering two great ticket options in April 2024, and they’re still available to purchase. But you’ll have to act quickly for a trip coming up soon if you want to take advantage of these deals!
For the past year and a half, one of Disney World’s hottest rides has been TRON Lightcycle / Run.
TRON Lightcycle / Run
The coaster opened in April 2023 after several weeks’ worth of previews, and it began operating during the day with a virtual queue to manage crowds. While the ride has had a bit of controversy due to its restrictive seating style, the virtual queue has still been a hot commodity that fills up fairly quickly. But now, Disney has done away with it!
A new lounge is coming to Magic Kingdom in 2025 that will be themed to the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. We are looking forward to stopping in after a long day at sea!

The new Pirates of the Caribbean lounge will continue the story of Pirates of the Caribbean and provide a place for pirates of all ages to gather. However, there is one question that we don’t know the answer to yet: will this new lounge serve alcohol?
Things are changing SO much in Disney World that it’s hard to keep up. We recently said goodbye to Genie+ (Disney’s skip-the-line service) and hello to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass.
Even more changes are coming soon, too, with the addition of a Cars land and a villains land to Magic Kingdom, a Monsters, Inc. land and villains show in Hollywood Studios, and a land re-theme in Animal Kingdom. However, one big change is happening tomorrow on September 9th, and it’s happening to a popular ride in Magic Kingdom. So we wanted to remind you about this change so you’re not caught by surprise.
It’s the season of all things spooky, so yes, we’re riding Haunted Mansion a lot right now in Disney World. Okay, granted, we don’t need it to be Halloween to ride one of our favorite rides, but we love trying to spot new things.
Haunted Mansion
We’ve recently seen some new additions to the Haunted Mansion, too. Last year, we finally got our own version of Hatbox Ghost. Then there was the addition of a nice Rolly Crump Easter Egg. Then one of the picnic ghosts returned to the cemetery scene in the ride. Now, the second picnic ghost has returned after having been gone for some time.

Disney World saw something VERY RARE this week. Flight of Passage did NOT have the highest average wait time at the resort, that title instead went to Slinky Dog Dash. Meanwhile, Jungle Cruise closed for refurbishment and the Lighting Lane Multi Pass continued to impact the resort.
