SURPRISE!
A fan-favorite Disney Holiday show just announced a SURPRISE early return date for the 2024 Holiday season at Disney World! Frozen Holiday Surprise is returning to the Magic Kingdom… TODAY, November 5th!
Happy holidays! It feels so weird to be saying that, but we are officially into the holiday season.
Magic Kingdom is getting ready to celebrate with one of our favorite after-hours events of the year. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a specially-ticketed event to celebrate the upcoming holidays. You get access to shorter lines for rides, FREE hot chocolate and cookies, exclusive entertainment and treats, and more. It will seriously make you feel ready for Christmas in one night. And since the event starts on November 8th, we thought you might want a little inspo for your Christmas Party outfit!
Every week, we report the average Disney World wait times in every park so that you can be prepared for your next trip to Orlando!
Disney World’s wait times plummeted precipitously this week, with wait times all around the resort dropping, including last week’s busiest ride, which dropped nearly 50%!

We do love some Disney World snacks, and that includes Disney World drinks.
Some drinks, though, are 100% designed with kids in mind, and that usually includes all the frozen drinks and slushies you can get in the parks. Now, don’t get us wrong, some of those frozen non-boozy drinks are our favorites (the Frozen Mint Tea in EPCOT’s Morocco Pavilion comes to mind), but a lot of the drinks are going to appeal to kids. Well, let’s just say we tried one slushy that your kid will probably beg you for — and we have thoughts.
We track the daily Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass pricing, and when we notice a record-breaking high price, we let you know.
If you choose to use Lightning Lane, it can eat a big chunk out of your budget when the prices skyrocket, and you pay for every person in your group. But what’s even better than telling you when the prices soar is letting you know when we see a drop! We would much rather come to you with this good news, and luckily we can!
Since the 2020 closures, Disney World has been treating its water parks a little differently.
Before 2020, both water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, would be open at the same time throughout the summer, and then one would close in the winter for refurbishment. Nowadays, when one water park is open, the other is closed, and they switch out all year long, regardless of the season. As we’re headed into the winter season, it’s time for these two parks to swap out once again!
Does Magic Kingdom really have the worst quick service food?
This is a hotly debated topic, and even here on the DFB team, people have differing opinions. But to truly answer that question, we’ve got to do some unbiased reviews of the various dining options. So today, I’m taking you along with me to The Friar’s Nook!
Happy holidays, DFB friends! Yep, it’s officially the holiday season in Disney World and we’re ready to eat all the holiday snacks and go to the first Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
It’s been quite a week in Disney World. We just got word that NEW gingerbread displays are coming to Disney World this holiday season (we can’t wait!). We got details on a fun Diwali fest that’s coming to Disney Springs. Holiday decorations have officially appeared in Magic Kingdom (cue Mariah Carey). However, we’ve also seen some Disney World restaurant menus change, and that’s what we want to tell you about.
Disney is setting records…though not in the way you might like.
Ever since Disney changed its skip-the-line system over to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass, we’ve seen fluctuating prices for the passes at Disney World’s theme parks. Now, the first weekend of November is smashing through the previous highs.
The Magic Kingdom Christmas tree is here! Santa Claus is coming to town, the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is coming soon, and even the skippers at the Jungle Cruise are ready to celebrate the holiday season.
That’s right! One of our favorite holiday overlays is officially BACK for the season — the Jungle Cruise transformed into the Jingle Cruise, and we went bright and early to check it out.
