A HUGE Change Hits Magic Kingdom in 26 Days

Disney World is about to get a little chaotic in 2025 — there’s going to be a LOT going on. Expect to see construction all over the parks, including in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where Dinoland, U.S.A. is getting converted into a Tropical Americas-themed land called Pueblo Esperanza.

In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Muppets Courtyard is becoming a Monsters, Inc. land, while the Muppets are making their way over to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. In EPCOT, Test Track will reopen with a brand new ride experience. Magic Kingdom might be the MOST affected park: a huge Cars expansion is coming to Frontierland AND a Villains land is coming to the park. However, ANOTHER big change is happening in Magic Kingdom SOON.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year — but it’s also the most CROWDED time of the year at Disney World!

It’s that time of year!

Holidays at Disney World can get pretty busy and we’ve seen that firsthand lately with heavy crowds and higher wait times. As Christmas and New Year’s approach, we’re anticipating things to get even worse which means you might want to pack your patience if you’re heading to the parks. Especially if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom because Park Pass Reservations are sold out for quite a few days!

NEWS: Disney’s Permit Extension Request Granted for Magic Kingdom Expansion

Hold on to your hats, because Magic Kingdom is about to go through a whirlwind transformation.

Not only will we be getting a brand-new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern in 2025, but we’re also eagerly awaiting the construction of a new Cars-themed area — even if it means we have to say goodbye to Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America forever. Disney recently hit a snag when it came to some logistics for the Cars retheme, but now it looks like things are back on (race)track. HA! See what we did there?

December is already flying by and we’re so not ready for the holidays yet (although we’ve been celebrating the holiday season in Disney World for over a month now!).

We’re looking forward to the opening of a brand-new restaurant coming up soon (and we now have a menu to look at while we wait for its doors to open). We’re also still eating our way around the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays (and here are the things we’re ordering over and over). Meanwhile, Disney World restaurant menus keep changing, and we’re keeping up with them all!
