While we don’t have an official date just yet, we have been keeping up with all the latest updates on the ride’s progress and we’re getting pretty darn excited about it. And, progress just took a major leap forward over on the bayou — let’s check it out!

A rainy day in Magic Kingdom
It’s especially chaotic this time of the year. We’ve seen super cold days, as well as hot days. We’ve also seen a lot of rainy days (if it doesn’t rain at least ONCE on your Disney World trip, are you really in Orlando, Florida?). Although rainy days can put a bit of a dampener (see what we did there?) on your day in the parks, it could also give you the best park day ever. Why? Because rainy days tend to keep crowds away.
We’ve been impatiently watching construction on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom for what feels like forever.

Okay, it’s only technically been about a year, but we’ve enjoyed watching progress on the new ride, like seeing the water tower going up and seeing all the new additions being added regularly. Well, on February 18th, we saw something HUGE happening on the ride, and we have to share it with you: WATER is flowing through Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. WATER, PEOPLE!!!
Magic Kingdom is Disney World’s most popular park on most days, home to the iconic Cinderella Castle, unforgettable attractions, and some of the most exciting entertainment.
Festival of Fantasy Parade
One of the most popular events in Magic Kingdom is the Festival of Fantasy Parade! The iconic parade features huge, elaborate floats and includes characters like princesses, princes, heroes, Mickey and Minnie, an actual FIRE-BREATHING DRAGON, and more. If you’ve never seen it before, it definitely needs to be on your must-do list! For the past few months, this parade has only been happening once per day, at 3PM. But that’s about to change.
Rumors at Disney World spread about as fast as they did through middle school locker rooms. No joke.
Tiana’s Foods Water Tower
A rumor we’ve heard a lot recently is regarding an all-new restaurant that’s coming soon to Magic Kingdom. You know, the one that’s being built at the former Splash Mountain? The one with walls up that say “Tiana’s Foods?” Yeah, we’re totally kidding. That’s just Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — the thrill ride that’s being built. The signage and water tower that’s located beside the ride construction confused a lot of folks, though. They thought that since they were seeing things pertaining to food, that the construction was for a restaurant. Plus, Disneyland’s new Tiana’s Palace restaurant didn’t help this confusion. Well, Disney has officially added some new details that help clear the air.
