Since 1928, these pieces of intellectual property (IP) have been cozied up underneath a blanket of copyright protection, but now, that is no more! Yes, Steamboat Willie, recognized as “the original Mickey Mouse,” has entered the public domain — meaning his character and likeness are available to be used by ANYONE. Well, let’s see how that’s going so far.

Omnibus in Magic Kingdom
Many of you might be familiar with Bob Gurr and his Omnibus. Gurr had a hand in creating some of the most ICONIC ride vehicles in the Disney Parks, including the Doom Buggies in the Haunted Mansion. The Omnibus was a beloved addition to the list of his creations. Originally created in 1956, it’s a double-decker bus that folks can now hop on to get around Main Street, U.S.A., and once upon a time, there was one that went around World Showcase in EPCOT. Well, the World Showcase Omnibus made a reappearance in a very special way.
