Disney introduced the new skip-the-line system last year that had many guests confused. On top of new rules and ride policies, it is no longer free to guests — it’ll cost you $15 in Disney World and $20 in Disneyland. Since Genie+ is a newer system, it is constantly changing to become the best it can be, and we’ve been keeping you updated on the latest changes (including a new banner that makes its most confusing rule EASIER). But now, a Disney executive has shared how the company uses Genie to control crowds in the parks.

Free At-Home COVID-19 Test Program Will END Soon

To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.

Although we’re still waiting on a few things to return to “normal” in Disney World, for the most part, things are looking the way they did pre-pandemic. Restaurants, attractions, and gift shops have reopened, and most of the physical distancing and face mask requirements are gone. But there’s about to be another change related to COVID-19, and this one will affect the entire U.S., not just the Disney parks.

When it comes to travel-related updates, it seems like it’s all been bad news recently.

There’s been a lot of bad travel news recently!

Flights have been getting canceled, airlines are mishandling more bags this year than last year, and travelers are getting bumped from their flights. Add that to the increasing cost to travel and it all starts to look a little dismal. There may be a light at the end of the tunnel, however, as we slowly start to see prices stabilize. Experts are starting to see travel prices decrease, which could indicate that relief is on the way.

NEWS: Federal Judge Asked to Block Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” Law

Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law, (or as critics call it, the “Don’t Say Gay” law) has struck major controversy since its introduction earlier this year.

The Walt Disney Company has released statements criticizing the law including a few statements from CEO Bob Chapek himself. This caused Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to move forward with the dissolution of Disney’s Reedy Creek ImprovementDistrict — a district that gives Disney governmental power over the land in and around Disney World. House Republicans also condemned Chapek’s response to the law in an open letter and Disney employee walkouts took place following Disney’s response. Now, there’s a new update about the “Don’t Say Gay” law that could lead to the law being blocked.
