D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event has officially come to a close, and WOW was it a wild weekend!

We got to hear tons of news about all the exciting attractions coming to Disney parks in the coming years, find out that there’s 4 (!!!) new Disney Cruise Line ships on the way, and so, SO much more. But in between all the panels and booths we experienced, we got to see some truly incredible Disney costumes that we couldn’t get enough of!
Disneyland has a big birthday coming up!

As expected, Disney announced that Walt’s original park would go big for its birthday in 2025 during the 2024 D23 Ultimate Fan Event! Next year, Disneyland will be celebrating its monumental 70th birthday, and like it has in the past, doing so in style.Â

As part of the D23 Ultimate Fan Event in August of 2024, Disney inducted its latest class of Legends. Among Hollywood heavyweights like Harrison Ford, Jamie Lee Curtis, James L. Brooks, and composer John Williams, Disney Imagineering icon Joe Rohde officially took his rightful place amongst the Disney pantheon.Â
D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event may be over, but there’s still something big happening today, August 12th, for the celebration!

Disney dropped TONS of news about movies, new Disney+ series, new park expansions, new lands, new cruise ships, and so much more! At the event, there were also lots of showcases of NEW Disney souvenirs that would be coming to the parks and the Disney Store, and now they have just dropped a bunch of new items online!
It has been a HUGE weekend full of announcements and sneak peeks at what is coming for The Walt Disney Company at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event!

We are so grateful to have been a part of it all. We finished off the weekend by attending the Disney Legends ceremony on Sunday evening, and it was a beautiful celebration of some fantastic people.

Disney dropped SO MANY announcements at the Horizons — D23 Disney Experience Showcase on August 10th; it was almost hard to keep up! But we got all the news live from the Honda Center including the new Villains Land and Cars Land coming to Magic Kingdom, the new name for the Tropical Americas re-theming of DinoLand, U.S.A., the new nighttime parade coming to Magic Kingdom, the Avatar Land headed to Disney California Adventure, and so much more. But it was the announcements for Disneyland Paris that got our nostalgic hearts racing!

That means we’ve learned about how even more Marvel is coming to Disney Parks all over the world. In Disneyland Resort, Avengers Campus is going to expand and add two new rides. At Shanghai Disneyland, a Spider-Man roller coaster is on the way. Plus a new Marvel ride was announced for Hong Kong Disneyland — and we’ve got the details.

And it makes sense because this brand-new ship coming to the Disney Cruise Line fleet has so many new things for us to experience, like the Aristocats-themed lounge and Haunted Mansion Parlor. We’re just beside ourselves with all the excitement. But before we get too far ahead, and since we’re talking about these lounges and the food they’re going to have there, it got us thinking about another experience that’s unique to the Disney Cruise Line — rotational dining. Let’s talk about it and see if you should skip it or not!

On the second day of the event, August 10th, we heard a TON of news at the Horizons — D23 Experiences Showcase about upcoming theme park projects, new nighttime entertainment, new cruise line ships, new gaming, and so much more! Disney dropped a lot of awesome previews of each of the new projects and got us excited for the next few years of Disney experiences. Every announcement was confirmed to be in production, and none were “Blue Sky” ideas. Now, we’re getting a first look at all the Imagineering models for each of the major announcements!
