The park isn’t exactly known for having the best, knock-your-socks-off food, but one table-service spot tends to stand out above the rest. Today, though, we’re not talking secret menu cheese bread or Falls Family Falafel — instead, we’re bringing you with us to try two NEW cocktails at Skipper Canteen!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Kona Cafe closed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort back in August with no set reopening date in sight. Recently, we noticed that the Disney World website was showing available times for Kona Cafe starting November 1st, though that reopening date had not officially been announced. Now we’ve got an update!
Lately, we’ve been seeing a lot of price increases at Disney World, including on food, park tickets, merchandise, and more. And if you look at recent comments by Disney CEO Bob Chapek, it sounds like those price increases won’t be stopping anytime soon.

Between ‘Ohana, Trader Sam’s, Capt. Cook’s, and more — there are plenty of options. But lately, one such option has been missing from the Poly’s lineup — Kona Café. Disney announced that this table-service spot would be closing for refurbishment but didn’t indicate for how long. But, something on the Disney World website makes us think that Kona Café could be reopening very soon!
The fall season is in full swing, but Disney is already gearing up for the holidays. We’ve already learned that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will return this year, and dates are starting to sell out for that popular event. In addition, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be returning!

The Festival of the Holidays will include lots of food booths around EPCOT, a Holiday Cookie Stroll, storytellers around World Showcase, and — of course — the fan-favorite Candlelight Processional. Disney World does up the holiday season BIG — decorations are put up overnight right after Halloween, Christmas trees and gingerbread houses are scattered throughout the resort, and there’s a ton of special food. This year will also see the return of EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. And, while a lot of people will be in the parks around Christmas, there’s another important holiday you need to plan for — Thanksgiving!

One Magic Kingdom restaurant just got BETTER.
Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom reopened in 2020 as a family-style meal, and the buffet returned in late 2021. However, this whole time there’s been one very important element that’s MISSING from this table service restaurant: the characters!
