All of the latest theme park news is coming up right now on DFB Guide.
While much of the focus on the Universal Orlando Resort is currently on Epic Universe, a NEW land is opening at Universal Studios Florida.
Based on the films of Dreamworks Animation Studios, this new land occupies the space formerly occupied by Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. We’ve already had a chance to check out this new land, but now we’re exploring even more and bringing you with us!
OK, we’ll admit it. We LOVE a nighttime theme park show. Fireworks? Obsessed. Drone show? In love. Nighttime parades? BRING THEM BACK, PLEASE! No matter how you prefer to celebrate, there’s probably a nighttime event waiting for you in Orlando. In fact, Universal Orlando Resort recently announced a NEW nighttime spectacular you NEED to see. Let’s take a look!Â

Universal Orlando Resort is BRINGING IT. There is a LOT to talk about at this popular theme park right now. First, there’s a new nighttime show right on the lagoon (with some AMAZING new music). Then, there’s the brand-new DreamWorks land — complete with a SHREK pretzel. But today, we’re here to talk about another NEW nighttime attraction. Wizards, we’r going to Hogwarts.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade Land is hosting a new nighttime extravaganza called Hogwarts Always. We love nighttime shows. We love Harry Potter. We’re ready to be WOWED. Now, does the show live up to our hopes and dreams? Let’s find out!
We’re still a ways away from the opening of Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, but that hasn’t stopped us from being SUPER excited about Universal’s third park.
The new park will have a total of five NEW themed lands, meaning new rides — and more importantly — new RESTAURANTS. There will also be THREE new hotels, including one hotel that will be located INSIDE the park. Yep, Universal has BIG things in store for Epic Universe. How big? Well, let’s just say that the size of Epic Universe is now more than twice as big as we initially thought.
Epic Universe — a brand NEW theme park — is opening in 2025, bringing five new themed lands to Universal Orlando.
Universal Orlando is currently made up of two theme parks — Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, plus the Volcano Bay water park and City Walk shopping and dining center. Epic Universe will be its third theme park, and it will have five new lands: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. Tons of fans are super excited about that last land in particular, and now we’ve got a sneak peek INSIDE the area! [Read more…]
Can you believe we’re (hopefully) just about a year away from the opening of Epic Universe in Orlando?
While no official opening date has been announced yet, it’s long been mentioned that Universal plans to have the new park open “certainly in time for Summer 2025,” and we count that as being less than a year away! But what’s construction looking like? Will they be able to meet this timeline? Let’s take a look!
We’re still about a year away from the grand opening of Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe.
However, Universal has been releasing details about its new park, including more information about the park’s five themed lands. We recently learned a lot more about Isle of Berk — How To Train Your Dragon, as well Super Nintendo World, and Celestial Park. However, something has already changed in Epic Universe, way ahead of its opening — one of its roller coasters recently got a new name.
We’re trying not to get too bent out of shape over Universal’s latest announcement but, it’s BIG!
If it feels like updates about Universal’s Epic Universe park are coming at you fast and furious it’s for good reason. So much has already been shared from Universal about a few of the lands you’ll find in each park including exclusive rides, restaurants, and so much more. We’ve also been keeping up with the latest progress on the park and the surrounding 3 hotel’s construction as they start making more visible progress. But, now, Universal has just released another update that will help you prepare to experience the upcoming park before you’re able to step foot inside. [Read more…]
