During Disney’s Q3 Earnings Call, we learned some new information about the parks, resorts, and Disney+ streaming service! But one thing that caught our attention was the little update on Disney Genie!Â
We’re less than two months away from the start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration! The eighteen-month-long extravaganza will feature new nighttime spectaculars like Disney Enchantment and Harmonious, “Beacons of Light” across the four theme park icons, oh…and did we mention a TON of new merchandise?!

During the past few days, a brand new Halloween event has officially begun in Magic Kingdom, we spotted some new reasons why you might want to look UP while in the park, and more. Gideon’s Bakehouse has become very popular in Disney Springs, and for a good reason!
A long line!
They have massive cookies, rich cakes, and delicious cold brew coffee. Sometimes the virtual wait to get into the shop can be HOURS long! Gideon’s releases new flavors quite often, including a limited-time cookie of the month, and we love to stop by and try them out for you! And there are a few delicious items that we think you’re going to want to hear about!
Whether it’s because of a financial mishap, an ended partnership, or new ideas, Disney restaurants sometimes have to close their doors for good.

Initially, we might take it personally, but eventually, these restaurants either become forgotten about or they become a nice lil blip of nostalgia.

On August 10th, Disney World held its first After Hours BOO Bash event of the year!

And well, we won’t complain if the two get combined — we’ve love our yummy ice cream sandwiches from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at Magic Kingdom, as well as the Hot Fudge Cookie Sundae at Storybook Treats and the Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich from Dino-Bite Snacks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. So, of course, we’re big fans of the Hot Cookie Hour at Gideon’s Bakehouse, which features a Gideon’s cookie fresh out of the oven with a scoop of locally-made malt vanilla ice cream. Can you say “yum?” But there’s a big problem with the Hot Cookie Hour — it’s ONLY ONE HOUR. NOT ANYMORE!

There is SO much to look forward to on October 1st — Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Creperie de Paris are officially opening, Harmonious and Disney Enchantment firework shows are debuting, 50 gold character statues will be revealed, and Mickey and friends will sport new EAR-idescent outfits! We’ve already seen a first look at some of the 50th Anniversary merch, but SOME of it has officially arrived online!
