Welcome back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We’re taking a quick trip around the park to check out what’s new. Let’s get started!
We’re continuing to see ways Disney is becoming more tech-y.
Over the last year, Mobile Order, Mobile Dine Check-In, online hotel check-in, and more have become BIG things. Another addition? Mobile Checkout for select stores! We’ve previously seen this feature at Mouse Gear in EPCOT and Everything POP Shopping at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and now, it’s been introduced somewhere else.
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is still closed, and we’re still sad about it.
But Disney’s been lessening the pain with plenty of Trader Sam’s merch at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, from shirts to purses. And today, we noticed a POPULAR collectible has finally been restocked!
EPCOT’s transformation is making progress!
We’re getting EXCITED for the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and we’re keeping an eye on the construction for the new Harmonious fireworks show. But we’re also checking up on smaller projects around the park — including the new Creations Shop!
If you’ve been to Disney World recently, you probably used the My Disney Experience app a LOT!
You may have used the app to check the wait times, make dining reservations, use mobile check-in, check for walk-up waitlist availability at your favorite restaurants, shop in Disney World’s stores, or do other things! Well, now we’ve spotted an update that has been made to the app.
It’s Father’s Day weekend, everyone!
Sunday is Father’s Day, and we’ve already seen some celebrations around Disney World. We found a Star Wars cake that was kind of ironic for the holiday and a VERY interesting (cough cough, weird) looking blondie. If your dad doesn’t have a big sweet tooth, there are still great ways to celebrate in Disney! We saw a NEW Father’s Day Magic Shot just for this weekend that will shine the spotlight on your dad!
From our first drop on Tower of Terror to a life-sized Carnosaurus trying to eat us on Dinosaur, Disney has found more ways to freak us out than we would’ve originally expected.
For parents with younger children, traumatizing little ones through the power of Disney magic during a family vacation might not be part of the game plan. They may try to avoid scary-ish rides altogether, sticking with tamer rides that provide “a world of laughter” or “happy little thoughts.” But however hard you might try to protect your child from the darker side of Disney, there are some ride scares you might not be able to avoid — and some you may not have expected to scare younger ones, at all.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs is a great place to go if you want a little adventure with your drinks!
If you’re a big Indiana Jones fan, you’ll know that this bar is named after his pilot in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jock Lindsey. We just found out that the bar is bringing back a super fun item for a limited time: The Bacon of Doom! So of course, we had to rush on over to Jock Lindsey’s to give it a try!
It’s almost Father’s Day!
We’ve already been celebrating with cookie dough cupcakes and a funny Darth Vader cake, but there are more sweet treats to check out. And if you’ll be in Disney Springs over the next few days, there’s ANOTHER cupcake for you to try!
Welcome back to EPCOT!
We recently noticed a couple changes on our trips around Future World and the World Showcase, so we have a super quick update for you! Let’s get started.
