These lead to rides, restaurants, and hotels temporarily closing, and those closures are constantly changing. Of course, you’ll want to know how all of this will affect your vacation! So today, we’re bringing you our weekly refurbishment update for May 17th through May 23rd.

But we’re not done yet because we’re also tracking any menu changes at Disney World restaurants. And here are the updates for this week!

This past week, we were especially thrilled to see Festival of the Lion King return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in a soft opening before it’s official reopening on May 15th! (Guess what? Celebration of The Festival of The Lion King
Although much of Disney World’s entertainment was suspended when the parks reopened, we’re starting to see some shows return to the parks. And one of the most popular shows at Disney World, a modified version of Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, soft opened this past week!
Disney World has required face masks on property since the parks reopened in July 2020.

Right now, all guests are required to wear an approved face covering at ALL times, unless when actively eating or drinking while stationary, or while taking outdoor photos. However, with COVID-19 vaccines rolling out throughout the country and states planning a return to “normal,” we’re taking a look at when we could see these policies shift.
A lot of planning goes into what you’ll be doing while you’re at Walt Disney World, but you don’t always put quite as much brainpower to how you’ll get there.
