Believe it or not, it’s halfway to Halloween!
It’s almost Halloween!
And we KNOW Disney loves celebrating this spooky holiday. For special treats to rare characters, Halloween in the parks is a time like no other. But tomorrow, May 7th, we’re getting a little taste of fall BACK in Disney World! And we couldn’t be more excited, guys.
It’s a busy year for Disney World!
Cinderella Castle
Not only will it celebrate the 50th anniversary on October 1st, but there will be new experiences opening and old favorites reopening. If you’re headed to Disney World during this exciting year, there is a Park Pass Reservation update you’re gonna want to know about!
Even though Disney World reopened to guests almost a year ago, there are still lots of experiences that remain different.
Fairfax Fare
Many restaurants and hotels have reopened since July or have set reopening dates for later this year, but there are a few that remain closed. Today, we noticed some menu changes at a closed quick service restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
One of our favorite Disney souvenirs is mugs. Because here’s the thing — they’re useful. You can use them for beverages (obviously), but they also make good places to put your pens, keep change in, keep other items in, etc. You can’t have too many Disney mugs!
Welcome to Germany
We’ve seen some super cool ones recently, too, including some awesome Starbucks Star Wars mugs, a matching family mug collection, a very happy Bao Mug, and a very cool Dumbo mug!
Since Disney World’s theme parks reopened, temperature screenings have been required to enter the parks. Temperature screenings eventually became required for other things too like table service restaurants at Disney World’s hotels and more.

Over the past few months, we’ve shared the details about a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that indicates temperature checks may be ineffective at identifying COVID-19 cases, a statement from one local official indicating that temperature checks are not recommended in Florida’s Orange County, and changes that have been made with temperature checks at other theme parks. And now we’ve got a BIG update about some changes coming soon to Disney World’s temperature checks.
We’ve talked a LOT about Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew because, well, we cannot get enough of those over-the-top donuts! And they are constantly releasing new donuts.
There’s a reason we keep going back to Everglazed…
And let us tell you — we’ve had some doozies there, from the highly controversial Grilled Cheese Donut to a Peeps Donut to a Cinnamon Crunch Donut to a Thin Mint Donut! There have been a ton of wacky and wonderful flavors and we love trying them out!
The calendar might not say it’s summer yet, but the heat has us saying that spring is certainly over.

And Disney World certainly agrees with us because we’re already seeing summer merchandise making an appearance, and we’ve already tried some great summertime drinks, including a Cherry Blossom drink, a super neon drink, and a boozy Kakamora float.
What time is it? Snack time!

To be fair, ANY time can be snack time at Disney World, but that’s just because there are so many delicious treats to try. Here at DFB, we’ve tasted TONS of them over the years to bring you our honest reviews, and today, we’re continuing that tradition. Let’s head on over to Disney Springs to try out a new treat made specifically for an upcoming movie!
Starting October 1st, 2021, Disney World will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary! But all around Disney World, preparations for the big celebration are already underway.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
We’ve seen decorations being added to Cinderella Castle, lights installed on Spaceship Earth, and touches of gold being added to some rides. And now, ahead of the 50th Anniversary, one of the restaurants at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will also be undergoing some refurbishment!
It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights… Although some of us grew up with The Muppets and The Muppet Show, so many others of us know the Muppets through the Disney World attraction Muppet*Vision 3D!

And although we occasionally get surprise appearances by The Muppets in the parks, we don’t see a lot of Muppets merchandise (and that is seriously a shame!). But we found a brand new piece of Muppets merchandise today!
