Think you can’t go to Disney World on a budget or that you have to stay at a Disney hotel to get special perks in the parks?
You are SO wrong my friends.
When planning a Disney World vacation, you’ve gotta have basics covered like park tickets, hotel reservations, transportation plans, and Park Pass reservations. That’s a given, right??
Well, another thing that has become absolutely ESSENTIAL when it comes to visiting Disney World is our phones! Seriously, you may view your cell phone as essential in normal, daily life, but it may be even MORE SO in Disney World. The My Disney Experience App has become critical for having a successful Disney trip, and it has SO many features that can be used for so many different things. BUT, there are probably a few things you didn’t even know the app could do!
If you follow us over on Instagram, you’ve probably seen the trivia questions we ask you occasionally!
And some of you have been able to answer a lot of our trivia questions without even thinking, but we’ve added a few that are tough for even the most hardcore Disney World fans! And it seems like our latest question stumped some of you!
Everywhere you look there is construction happening around Disney World!
While it seems that the construction projects are never ending, there are a lot of super exciting changes coming to Disney World. Let’s take a look at all of the progress this week! [Read more…]
It’s that time of the week! We’re back to check out the average wait times in Disney World over the past week!
Disney World has been at capacity for over a week now, and doesn’t look to be any less busy anytime soon. Even though Park Pass Reservations continue to be booked up, the wait times in the parks have managed to go DOWN. Today, looking at the average wait times in ALL four Disney World theme parks!
One thing about Disney World that continued to AMAZE us is the array of hidden details and fun surprises!
You’ve heard of Hidden Mickeys before, but how about Hidden…Pirates? Well, sorta. We found a hidden detail in Magic Kingdom today that even the staunchest Pirates of the Caribbean fans probably haven’t seen!
Because of health and safety guidelines, lines at Disney World tend to snake all over the parks — occasionally those lines take us to new and unexpected locations!
With social distancing in the parks, lines can get pretty long, and Disney gets creative on where queues for attractions or restaurants can go. We’ve waited backstage for a lumpia at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but also for margaritas at La Cava del Tequila!
This year is already flying by, and we swear it was just Halloween yesterday!
And here we are, eating Easter snacks, and getting in the mood for the season with beautiful spring balloons!
If you arrive at Magic Kingdom first thing in the morning, you’re likely to be hungry. That means if you aren’t running to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, you’re queueing up for coffee and pastries at Main Street Bakery.
But here’s a helpful PSA: you’ve got options! For the duration of spring break season, a Tomorrowland restaurant is opening EARLY for breakfast.
Navigating your way around Disney World these days can be a bit more complicated than you might expect! Due to social distancing requirements, Disney might have some doors to its stores blocked and some marked specifically as entrances or exits in a way that you aren’t used to.
You might also find the lines for some rides to be stretched out pretty far away from the actual entrances. Finding the end of a line or knowing where to look can be really tough and frustrating! So, we made the maps that Disney won’t! Here at DFB we’ve been working on a series of maps to help you navigate the parks right now and make your next trip SO much easier! We’ve already developed these maps for EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, and today we’re sharing our map of Disney’s Hollywood Studios with you!
