We’ve been closely following all the construction at Magic Kingdom as the park gets ready for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration (ICYMI, that kicks off October 1st and lasts a whopping 18 months!). We’ve already seen the Cinderella Castle transformation begin to take shape, and now, the front of the park is getting some work, too!
Since reopening, Disney World has implemented several health and safety measures to keep guests and Cast Members safe.
Pandora
Not only are there face masks and social distancing markers, but many attraction and shops have received a plexiglass makeover. Many rides have gotten a plexiglass makeover in the queues, the loading area, and the attraction vehicles themselves, and today we noticed that more plexiglass has been added to an attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
There are TONS of amazing quick-service locations in Disney Springs, and today we visited one of our favorites!
D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs
D-Luxe Burger is known for their incredible burgers (obviously), and it’s one of the few restaurants owned and operated by Disney in the area! While the restaurant offers up some fun seasonal food, we grabbed a classic on the menu today.
Dessert time in Disney World is basically the best time of the day with all of the incredible treats available. And, Disney Springs is home to one of the absolute BEST desserts across the property – cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse!

The menu is stocked with cake, coffee, and massive cookies that are almost too good to share (but they’re certainly big enough). Since the opening of Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, the store has become incredibly popular and kinda difficult to access due to its long lines. Fortunately, you don’t have to try too hard to find most of those iconic eats! Even location-specific sweets like the caramel corn from Karamell-Küche at EPCOT or that fluffy cinnamon roll from Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom just require a little wait in line or a few clicks on Mobile Order.

There’s a new way to scan in to the parks!
The MagicMobile service is a way for guests to access all the features of MagicBand within the My Disney Experience app and on their phones. This new system is available to use, and guests are starting to wonder which is better: MagicMobile or MagicBands? We polled our Instagram followers to find out which one they plan to use, and their responses were pretty shocking!
National Beer Day is right around the corner!

And we’re big fans of the brew here at DFB: we love trying the latest beers in the parks and checkin’ out the seasonal offerings at EPCOT’s festivals! But if you’re lookin’ for the perfect way to celebrate National Beer Day on April 7th, you may wanna hop over to City Works Eatery and Pour House in Disney Springs.

Also, Disney’s Magical Express service to and from the Orlando International Airport is being discontinued at the end of this year. On top of that, several new flight options are coming soon to Orlando, including some to the UK!
