2020 has been quite the year, so can you blame us for celebrating New Year’s a tad early?!
Now with the arrival of a slew of shimmering 2021 ornaments at Disney World, we’re officially ready to ring in the new year, Mickey and Minnie-style!
Hello, DFB friends!
We spent a day at Magic Kingdom and then popped over to the nearby Monorail Resorts to see what’s new. The list is short, but there are SOME updates, so let’s get going!
We’re getting close to the day the sun will set on this wild year for Disney World and for all of us. 2020 has been…well…kind of weird in more ways than one.
Think: what would you have thought a year ago if we told you that Disney parks would spend a BIG portion of this year closed? What about that you’d be wearing a mask everywhere and hoarding toilet paper in 2020? It’s been…different. 😂 Well, we’re taking a look at some of the absolute weirdest things that happened in the parks in 2020!
We’ve had a BLAST eating our way around the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays!
This year’s festival runs from November 27th through December 31st and it looks a little bit different from years past. With the global health crisis, some adjustments have had to be made, but we still got to eat the FOOD! There are more than 15 Holiday Kitchens this year and we ate and drank our way through every. single. menu.
One of the sweetest parts of EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays is its annual Cookie Stroll! And now that the festival has returned for 2020, we’re ready to put on our stretchy pants and tackle all that the festival has to offer!
Make sure to save room for dessert, because the Cookie Stroll is one of our favorite aspects of the festival!
We’ve been eating A LOT of goodies from the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. We think it’s time to slow down, cool off, and digest with some of the festival’s themed entertainment!
Entertainment has been pared back considerably for the holidays this year. Fan-favorite events like the Candlelight Processional have been canceled due to the global health crisis. Disney has shifted some things around to provide a little festive cheer for guests visiting during the holidays. Today, we got a look at EPCOT’s Holiday Character Cavalcades and live performances!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but one of the most DELICIOUS times too!
We’ve been eating our way through ALL of the booths at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays and today we’re reviewing a NEW one! In the mood for some Kālua Pork? How about Lomi Lomi Salmon or Coconut Pudding? This NEW booth is a tropical dream!
We’re all about the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, and we’ve already been busy trying out all the tasty snacks and drinks at this year’s booths!
And it looks like we’re getting an extra day to enjoy all the festivities!
It just wouldn’t be the holiday season without some festive music!
And even though EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional is canceled this year, there’s still music at the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays in the America Gardens Theatre courtesy of the Voices of Liberty and Mariachi Cobre!
Here at DFB, we’re suckers for a fun cupcake!
Holiday cupcakes are especially fun! This season we’ve had a peppermint cupcake, a cupcake with a hidden Mickey, an Olaf cupcake, and a red velvet wreath cupcake, to name a few. We’re pretty much always down to try a new cupcake, and today we tried an eggnog one!
