The Dapper Dans of Disneyland recently joined together (via their own homes) to treat us to a truly beautiful rendition of “When You Wish Upon A Star.” And now, the Dapper Dans of Disney World’s Magic Kingdom have come together (virtually) for National Barbershop Quartet Day!

The DFB Counter-Service Throw Down has been one crazy ride so far! We’ve already seen some AMAZING restaurants come and go in the first, second, and third rounds. And, the next round forced us to say goodbye to one of our favorite spots in Disney World (we may have shed a few tears).

It’s been a few weeks since we last set foot in Disney World, and BOY do we miss the parks!!

News! More Than Half of Disney World’s Union Workers Furloughed in Latest Agreement!

Things have been a little up in the air about what Cast Members jobs will look like until Disney World reopens (since the parks are closed “until further notice” currently).

Although Disney has already stated they will be furloughing non-essential salaried and hourly non-union employees beginning April 19th, they have also started to extend this agreement to many of the unionized workers at Disney World too.

News: Mayor Predicts When Business Around Disney World May Resume

Since the theme parks have been closed for almost a month, we’ve been daydreaming about the next time we’ll be able to hop on our favorite rides in Disney World!

While Orlando has recently implemented a curfew and stay-at-home order to keep everyone safe, Disney World has also decided to keep its gates closed “until further notice.” And, the Orange County mayor recently commented on how long he thinks local businesses could be closed.

We’re dropping in today with some juicy tips on how to make the MOST out of your Disney Dining.

We love to share our favorite tips for getting Advance Dining Reservations. But the thing is, we don’t ALWAYS have an ADR when we need one. Picture this: It’s dinner time and quick-service just isn’t going to cut it. Is there anywhere in Disney World you can get a last-minute reservation or walk-in?

There sure is! Join us as we take a look at the pretty big list of Disney restaurants where you can snag a last-minute reservation if you play your cards right. 

And to help make sure you get GREAT EATS, we’re noting our DFB RECOMMENDED restaurants with a red DFB PREFERRED notation for you. There are plenty of kind of blah restaurants in Disney World that tend to always have dining reservations available…because they’re blah. 😉 Stick with these suggested spots and you’ll be firing on all cylinders!

Is This What We Can Expect in Disney World in 2021?

With the current world health crisis, Disney World may have a two-year slog back to normalcy. Now that many economists assert that we’re headed into a global recession, things get a little more complicated.

The world health crisis itself is unprecedented, as is the resultant closure of Disney World. Since we don’t have any historical basis to look to for guidance, predicting the resort’s next few months can be a challenge. But looking back at what happened during the previous two recessions may give us glimpse into what we can anticipate for this one.
