It’s true — there isn’t much happening at Disney World these days, but there IS still something going on there!
And while this Mickey-shaped sandtrap might make you think we mean golf, we actually have a different, more unusual “something” in mind!

It’s true — there isn’t much happening at Disney World these days, but there IS still something going on there!
And while this Mickey-shaped sandtrap might make you think we mean golf, we actually have a different, more unusual “something” in mind!
“THREE… TWO… ONE!!!!” Can’t you just feel it?? It’s that moment you launch from your super stretch limo straight into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
And if you love the rush, you may be inspired to learn how it all happens to begin with… Well, now Disney invites you to “explore the science” and learn about the workings of roller coasters from two Disney Mechanical Engineers, Angel and Josh! [Read more…]
Our minds continue to be BLOWN by how this Disney World Counter Service Throwdown is GOIN’ down! If you haven’t printed out your bracket yet, don’t worry — there’s still time!
With only two rounds left before the winner is crowned, let’s take a look at just who’s currently left standing!
Disney World has recently extended their closure, now stating that the parks will be closed “until further notice.” This statement has been followed with a large amount of confusion and concern from those with upcoming Disney vacations.
Many of our readers have reached out to us with a few issues they’re facing, including making FastPasses for their upcoming Disney vacations. Some folks are saying they’re seeing “limited FastPasses” for early June and others are claiming they’re not getting top tier FastPasses even when booking 60 days out on the dot.
And since we here at DFB want to make sure we help you as much as possible through this totally crazy time, we decided to investigate! We spoke to some Cast Members, made a few hotel bookings and FastPass bookings, and here’s what we found out!
There’s no question that we’re missing out on all the spring activities that would normally take place at Disney World this time of year. And since these closures are happening over the Easter holiday, that means we won’t get to see the INCREDIBLE Easter Egg displays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
We’ve loved taking you all with us each spring to the Grand Floridian are sharing the beautiful work done by the Bakery Team at the resort. But while we can’t see new eggs this year in person, we CAN look back at some of the beautiful displays of Easter past!
We love taking you guys with us on our Disney World adventures where we’re always looking for the latest new snack, construction project, or piece of merchandise!
But no matter how often we visit the parks or how hard we look around, there’s just some stuff you won’t see at the parks! At least not unless some major changes take place!
We’ve all been there before when you’re patiently waiting in a long line at Disney World (maybe playing Heads Up with your fam).
Buuut, suddenly you’re hit with a spray of bubbles from one of your kids out of nowhere. Or, you might even get blasted in the face with water from a misting fan (we’re not sure which is worse). While we usually LOVE shopping for Disney merchandise, there are definitely a few items that we’ve regretted purchasing!
Hey, friends! We’re back with another DFB Video and today we’re talking about 12 Disney World restaurants that are SUPER strange…in a good way!!
While they are strange, we love these restaurants!
UPDATE: Note that many of these changes (including pricing changes) were made before park closures and are being updated online now! Hope this helps with your trip planning!
While Disney World remains closed, they certainly aren’t taking a break when it comes to switching up their food and beverage offerings! We recently shared some surprising menu changes we spotted on the menus, including price increases on many of the beverage items at Ale & Compass Lounge and the sudden disappearance of the margarita and martini flights from Brown Derby Lounge!
Today, we are sharing six more dining locations with menu changes that Disney has recently rolled out. All of these new menu discoveries are located in Magic Kingdom!
Since the parks are closed “until further notice,” Disney has planned to furlough non-essential salaried and hourly non-union employees starting April 19th.
Although this original statement didn’t include unionized workers, now Disney has begun extending furloughs to other employees of the company. While the American Federations of Musicians Local 389 has come to an agreement with Disney, other unions are also making agreements with Disney to furlough for workers.
