food IS a theme park
We are always down for a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Not only do you get spectacular views of the savanna, but it is also home to some of our favorite restaurants!Â
We talk a LOT about Disney food here at DFB — we are Disney Food Blog, after all.
And, as much as we love eating our way around the Disney World parks, some of our favorite meals and restaurants can be found around the hotels instead! Whether you’re looking for something to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, chances are you’ll be able to get it at a Disney World hotel. But, before you go make a reservation — we have a bit of a warning for you!
Time is everything in Disney World.
Well, not really. Having a magical day is everything in the parks, but to do that, it often feels like you need all the time in the world that you don’t have. We’re all for saving time around the parks, which is why we help tell you what lines are too long to wait in and when you should come back later, or when buying Genie+ may be the only way to accomplish everything you want to (as painful as that truth is). However, there’s a huge time saver many people have no idea about, and it doesn’t cost you ANYTHING extra!
WE HAVE MORE TIANA NEWS!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom is opening this SUMMER. And we’re almost there! We’re so close to getting to ride the new ride, and Disney keeps dropping more and more hints about what we can expect when we do. They’re really good at getting us excited for new attractions, that’s for sure. Recently, we’ve gotten sneak peeks at the animatronics that will be on the ride as well as some new critter characters who will be playing us some music. Well, now, Disney has dropped a look at a few MORE critters coming to the ride!
We here at DFB try a LOT of food.
Some new, some classic, some that we’re trying to give a second chance to. But today, we’re ranking the CHEAPEST, the TASTIEST, and the overall BEST SNACKS that you can get in Hollywood Studios!
Are you ready for another great festival’s return to Disney World?
While EPCOT is home to some pretty iconic festivals, like the ongoing 2024 International Flower & Garden Festival, it’s not the only place at Disney World where you can get some great food and beverages in a festival setting. In fact, Disney Springs actually hosts a fan-favorite event that is about to return!
Disney World’s most IN-DEMAND cookie spot has a strict rule you may not know about!
Gideon’s Bakehouse became a near overnight sensation when the gourmet cookie company opened their first outlet in 2016. Within weeks of opening in Orlando’s East End Market, Gideon’s was featured in publications ranging from New York Times to The Boston Globe, to Sports Illustrated. The chain opened up a flagship location at Disney Springs four years later in 2020, and has remained one of the property’s moist in-demand snack offerings since.Â
On April 10th, 1900 Park Fare officially reopened its doors!
This restaurant has been closed for nearly 4 years, since the pandemic in 2020. It is a character buffet, which means you get to visit with your favorite Disney pals while eating delicious food. The restaurant serves both breakfast and dinner at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. It’s no secret that we love Disney food, so of course, we headed over to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast on its opening day! Let’s see what’s changed and what is still the same about this beloved dining location.
After YEARS of waiting, 1900 Park Fare is about to reopen in Disney World!
This table-service buffet at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been closed since 2020, but that will officially change tomorrow, April 10th. Of course, we’ll be stopping by opening day to check out all the changes — but before that, Disney shared a SNEAK PEEK of the updated restaurant!
We’re constantly on the hunt for the best things to WEAR in Disney World.
Depending on the season, the weather, and the activities you plan to do, what you pack in your suitcase can vary WILDLY. Deciding on clothing is tricky enough, but perhaps even more challenging is picking your shoes for a park visit!
