For better or for worse, the Disney World restaurants have CHANGED.
So how can YOU navigate these updates during your upcoming Disney World trip? The DFB team’s got your back!
Disney World changes very often, which means you’ll visit the parks one time, and a few months later things have changed.
This can make it hard to plan your vacation, but that’s why we’re here! We keep up with all the latest Disney news so you know what’s happening the next time you visit. If you’re visiting the parks this year, here are some recent changes you NEED to know about!
We already know what you’re thinking. Hot weather? Isn’t Disney World always hot?
Well, from November to March, locals and avid visitors alike tend to LOVE the weather at Disney World. It’s typically sunny, a bit breezy, and around 70 to 80 degrees. However, late spring is when nature’s thermostat gets kicked up a notch and we start seeing temperatures above 90 degrees. Well, get ready, y’all. It’s coming.
We are fast approaching summertime, which means you might have a trip to Disney World on the horizon. And if you don’t, we think you deserve to plan one!
Well, getting to Disney World will be getting a bit easier starting in June if you are traveling from the Cincinnati area!
There are PLENTY of things to do in Disney World if you’re a Star Wars fan.
First, you can immerse yourself in a planet that resides in a galaxy far, far away by visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can even eat Star Wars-themed food and shop in a Star Wars-themed market. If you’re feeling fast, you could even try and pilot the Millennium Falcon. Over at Star Tours, you can help a Rebel spy escape to freedom. You can also build your own lightsaber, but something has changed in that experience.
Dining at Disney World can be expensive, and the cost can really add up depending on the size of your party!
You could spend your days snacking around the parks or even order kid’s meals from quick-service restaurants to save yourself a little money. We have been finding the cheapest meals at each of the Disney World theme parks, and today, we are taking a look at Animal Kingdom!
It should come as no surprise that we love a delicious cookie and slice of cake.
We know there are TONS of delicious places to grab cookies and cake in Disney World, but one of our favorites is Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs. They offer monthly options along with some fantastic staples. While they’re known for their sweet treats, we guess they’re selling accessories now, too?
Few things are as utterly disappointing as getting up to the McDonald’s drive-thru speaker, ordering yourself a frosty cone, and being told that their ice cream machine is broken.
It’s a phenomenon that plagues McDonald’s locations all across the United States, garnering much attention on the internet with people wondering if it’s all just a big conspiracy. Well, the conspiracy only grows because the McDonald’s ice cream machine curse is now plaguing Disney World.
Disney Springs is Disney World’s shopping and dining center.
You’ll find delicious restaurants, cool shops, and fun activities scattered around the district. We have been noticing a few locations closing up shop here and being replaced by new options. However, some places, like Basin, have closed briefly for little refurbishments and then opened back up soon after. That seemed to be a similar situation as a popular swimwear store that closed back in July 2023, because on a recent trip to Disney Springs, we noticed it was back open for business!
Disney Springs is a not-so-hidden treasure trove of restaurants that’s able to satisfy just about every palate. So when we saw an opportunity to visit one of our favorite restaurant’s quick-service counter, we jumped at it.
If you’ve never had a chance to experience The Basket at WBG or it’s just been a while, it’s time you become reacquainted with an oldie but a goodie (and check out a few of their NEW menu items with us)! [Read more…]
