When you are in the parks basically every day, you start to pick up on a thing or two. Yep, we’ve seen the trends on how February might typically be a slower month for Disney World, but how the crowds just descend during this holiday weekend. That’s what we’re talking about and we want you to be prepared!
As we all get ready for Super Bowl parties (and Super Bowl snacks!), there have been some updates in Disney World this week.

For starters, we’ve now confirmed a new snack spot is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ve also started seeing the first signs that the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is coming soon! We also discovered some secret loaded fries this week. YUM. Disney World restaurant menus have also been changing this week. So let’s look at those updates!

Salt & Straw
We’ll never not sing the praises of Mickey waffles. We’ll also never stop talking about Gideon’s Bakehouse cookies (and we will stand in loooong lines to get them). A few years ago, Salt & Straw in Disney Springs brought its own version of the Choco Taco to life, and EVERYONE was talking about it. Well, guess what? That snack is COMING BACK!
Birthdays at Disney World are THE BEST.
What are YOU celebrating in Disney World?
First, you can get a free button telling everyone about your birthday (and yes, Cast Members will wish you a Happy Birthday). Wearing the button can also sometimes get you some extra pixie dust around the parks, like a birthday surprise at a Disney World restaurant. We’ve even seen Mickey conduct other guests to sing “Happy Birthday” for someone celebrating their special day. Well, did you know you can also get free cookies on your birthday?

Believe it or not, the Festival is only a few weeks away, too! We’ve even started seeing the first topiaries appear in EPCOT. We’re so ready to dive into some food booths and enjoy the Garden Rocks concert series. Speaking of which, a NEW performer has been added to the Garden Rocks lineup!
When you want a specific drink in Disney World, EPCOT is typically the place to go.

And if that specific drink is a margarita, you had best make a beeline for the Mexico Pavilion because that’s where you’ll find what you’re looking for. Now, you’ll get your delicious marg, but they tend to come at a price — super long queues. Now imagine our delight when we found that you could get one of the most popular margs from the but from a completely different location!
After Universal Orlando made a TON of announcements and gave new details about its upcoming Epic Universe park, the third park at the resort, many believe that Disney World needs to step it up and add a new park.

Some analysts believe Disney will announce a fifth park soon (although it hasn’t happened yet, even after Disney’s Q1 2024 earnings call), but what exactly should that park be?
