There are a lot of new problems coming in 2024, some nasty problems we’re all dreading…and then there are some you won’t know are problems until they happen to you. What do we mean? Here’s a prime example.

You might say “We’re here for the snacks” and it would be totally true. And now that the Disney Dining Plan(DDP) has made a comeback, we’ve been in full snack-searching mode. We have been looking at all the snack offerings all around Disney World (but we’re not snacked out yet!) and we’re on the hunt for that little, pink DDP symbol.
It’s been three years since we last saw the Dining Plan and since then lots of new items have surfaced. So we’re taking you on a hunt of your own for all these 10 new (since the last time we could use the DDP) snacks that count toward the Dining Plan.
If you thought the Disney World parks were prone to all sorts of changes, we need to talk about Disney Springs.

Over the past year, we’ve witnessed several store closures and even a few moves. From Alex and Ani to The Art of Shaving, Disney Springs has been no stranger to change and goodbyes. Now, though, something NEW is coming, and we think some of you will be stoked.

Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle
There are lots of great entertainment options in Magic Kingdom, from the big Festival of Fantasy Parade to “streetmosphere” performances like the Dapper Dans and Casey’s Corner Pianist. Have you ever been to Disney World when the CHEERLEADERS are there?

Huge cheerleading competitions are held at Disney World annually … we’re talking ginormous events, and thousands of cheerleaders running around the parks and hotels. It’s BIG FUN … for the cheer teams. But it may not seem quite as exciting if the hotel you chose for your trip is taken over by cheer practice in the common areas or cheerleaders walking the halls in groups late at night or early in the morning.
As if we needed another Disney mug to add to our collections, right?! We didn’t think it could get any more adorable than the new Disney EATS snack merch collection, but it seems like we’ve been proven wrong.

While closures around Disney World can be quite the bummer if you aren’t expecting to stumble upon them, they’re a pretty important part of operating a theme park and keeping it in tip-top shape.
Closures are important!
Throughout the year, rides, pools, and even forms of transportation will temporarily close so that Disney can perform routine maintenance and clean up procedures to keep everything running smoothly and looking magical and brand new. An important closure is taking place starting TOMORROW, January 16th, and you need to be aware if you’re headed to Disney World this month!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is one of the “mountain” roller coasters in Disney World, and it’s definitely a fan-favorite attraction.
