When you enter the rides, you’ll be presented with a big, long list of rules pertaining to the safety of yourself and others throughout the experience. While a lot of them don’t require a whole lot of thinking to figure out WHY the rules are in place, there are other rules that might seem nit-picky or a bit strange. Other, more technical rules might not even be listed at all, but Cast Members are looking out at all times to ensure that folks are being safe. Â This post is dedicated to some of those!
One merchandise stand that’s been closed for three years FINALLY reopened in EPCOT, but there’s another stand that’s still closed in this park!
EPCOT
Disney has to close restaurants, attractions, snack stands, and other locations occasionally in order to complete refurbishments and update the spaces. For some of these smaller stands, it’s possible that there simply aren’t enough Cast Members to keep them all open. Whatever the resason, this EPCOT snack stand is closed with no reopening date in sight!

The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts runs from January 12th through February 19th and showcases all sorts of artistic endeavors, from performing arts to food art and more! It’s December, which means we’re in the middle of the holiday season at Disney World.
Hollywood Studios
The holiday decorations are up, the snoap is falling, and we’re eating ALL the snacks with eggnog, peppermint, and chocolate flavors. However, if you visit a certain gelato cart in Disney World, you can literally GO BACK IN TIME (just like in Doctor Who) and revisit Halloween if you want.
Y’all we’re not gonna lie. It’s BUSY at Disney World.
Crowds
But just how bad are the crowds? Well, compared to the wild week we experienced surrounding Thanksgiving, wait times and crowd levels actually feel kind of…tame? That’s also reflected in the recent Genie+ prices and park pass reservation availability. So how have wait times changed at Disney World over the past week? It’s time to find out!
There are so many underrated activities in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We’re not sure everyone takes full advantage of everything at this park. Yes, you can go on a safari and visit Pandora, but you can also check out the park’s many walking trails and see even MORE animals.

PLUS, you can head to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and visit Conservation Station, where you can actually PET animals and see the Disney World veterinarians at work. Conservation Station is also home to the Animation Experience, where you can learn to draw Disney characters — and now, a NEW drawing lesson is available.
A LOT is going to change with Disney World dining in 2024.
EPCOT
Not only will we be getting some new restaurants in 2024, including The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, but the Disney Dining Plan is making its return on January 9th — and well, let’s just say that might complicate things. Why? Well, some of the more expensive table service restaurants are only going to be one credit on the plan, meaning it’s going to be a LOT harder to get those reservations.

We’re not talking about the holiday season, although it’s certainly magical. We’re talking about the ACTUAL holidays, like Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Now, there are plenty of places to get a good meal on Christmas and some fun New Year’s Eve activities, too, but if you’ll be in Disney Springs on either of those days, you might want to head to Raglan Road.
