It’s that time of year again, friends — the holidays are here!

That means there are tons of decorations to admire at all the parks, holiday snacks and merchandise have arrived, and holiday parties are starting. But it also means that one of our favorite projects returns — the Contemporary Resort Gingerbread Display is now OPEN for guests to admire and buy treats!
Can you hear those sleigh bells in the distance? It’s almost time for one of our favorite Disney World events of the year — the 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays!
Festival of the Holidays 2022
The festival kicks off on November 24th, and we’ve put together plenty of resources to help if you’re visiting this year. Make sure you check out all of the food booths and menus that will be available. There are several new menu items this year that you won’t want to miss! Planning a Disney World vacation can be complicated.

If you’ve ever done it, you know that it can involve a LOT of thinking ahead. Not only do you need to make your dining reservations 60 days before your trip, but you also still need to make park pass reservations ahead of time, too — if you don’t, you might discover you can’t visit certain parks on the days you want. If you’re visiting Disney World this weekend, you might find some parks with NO park pass reservations available.
With our name being Disney Food Blog, you can bet we’ve seen and tried MANY Disney snacks over the years.

And just like always, we’re here to give you our unbiased opinion, whether it be good or bad. We’ll admit that while we’ve had plenty of snacks recently that we’ve loved, we’ve also had a few that eating them ever again will be too soon. These are two snacks that our team NEVER wants to eat again.

2023 Grand Floridian Gingerbread House
All around the property at several hotels, you can find life-sized gingerbread displays. From the most iconic display– the gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian –to the baby giraffe and baby zebra at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, there’s so much to see! These displays add a warm, cozy, Christmas ambiance to each location they’re in. This year, an all-new gingerbread display will be joining the group and construction has started!

Disney just keeps dropping some really good ones and we’re almost always going to end up buying them. For example, we just recently got the Holiday Musical Tin Popcorn Bucket — and we have no regrets. We also can’t wait to get our hands on the Mickey Toy Soldier Popcorn Bucket. For Halloween, we added the new Nightmare Before Christmas Popcorn Bucket to our collection. Well, now a NEW popcorn bucket is coming soon, and WE NEED IT.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2023
Yep! It’s Christmas at Disney World! November 9th marked the very first day of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney World, and we were among the first group of folks to experience the celebration. While the food was great, and the merchandise was fun, we were really excited about getting to check out all the rides. Some of the rides get a special holiday overlay for the party, and we’re headed to check them out!Â
