What do Mickey Bars, Dole Whips, and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls have in common?
They are all pretty iconic Magic Kingdom snacks. Whether you’re looking for a sit-down meal or would prefer to eat on the go, there are lots of food options in Disney World’s most popular park to choose from. Columbia Harbour House, a quick service location in Liberty Square, typically is a great spot when you’re trying to please a variety of tastes. How did that reputation hold up on a recent midday trip? Let’s find out.
So, we were in Magic Kingdom (’cause we’re in Magic Kingdom almost every day), and we saw a SURPRISE AND DELIGHT!
What’s a SURPRISE AND DELIGHT you ask (and by the way, you don’t have to capitalize SURPRISE AND DELIGHT every time you reference it, but, you know, it’s pretty cool)? It’s when Disney ushers forth even MORE magic than usual as a little bonus for the guests in the park that day. And while we were walking around Fantasyland recently, we spotted something pretty delightful that you need to see!
Something NEW is starting to pop up in more and more Disney World hotels and you need to know about it.
Disney World hotels have changed quite a bit over the past few months from the return of free overnight hotel parking for guests to hotel restaurant menu overhauls and other adjustments. But now we’ve started to see something else happening in the resorts.
Okay, admit it, do you start singing “Circle of Life” the minute you see the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? It’s totally okay, because SAME.
There’s just something special about this park where we can explore the time of the dinosaurs, but also see real animals on a safari. We can even be entertained by the amazing Festival of the Lion King show and more! But what’s been going on with Animal Kingdom recently? Well, let’s find out?
You could outgrow the souvenir toys and the T-shirts, but you’ll never outgrow a photograph of yourself and your loved ones in front of fan-favorite Disney attractions and park icons.
This makes Disney’s PhotoPass service a fan-favorite route to get tons of souvenirs that last a lifetime: photos! PhotoPass photographers are stationed at TONS of locations throughout the Disney parks, ready to scan your MagicBand or ticket and snap a photo of you and your crew — which will then link to your Disney account. These photos are taken with professional cameras and the PhotoPass Cast Members are trained to pose you and your group so that everyone is in the frame and looking great. Sometimes, you’ll even be able to use special props! Photo packages are available that allow you to purchase single photos, certain photos per day, and even Memory Maker, which allows you to download ALL of the photos that are taken throughout your vacation. Now seems like the perfect time to treat yourself. We think you need a new pair of Minnie ears.
You don’t have to look too hard to find some fun and festive ears both in the Disney parks and online. In the past, we’ve found Minnie ears that have a special surprise and others that smell amazing! Now, we’ve spotted a NEW pair that will have you headed off to Neverland!
If you want to get on Magic Kingdom‘s newest ride, TRON Lightcycle/Run, you are going to want to read this.
TRON Lightcycle / Run at night
TRON Lightcycle/Run opened in April and has been very popular. There are only two ways to ride it — Purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane or Joining the Virtual Queue. If you are planning on joining the virtual queue, you will need to move fast because the groups fill up seconds after it opens at 7AM. If you aren’t lucky enough to grab one then, the queue does reopen at 1PM for anyone currently inside the park, and we have seen this virtual queue window stay open a bit longer.
The Disney Dining Plan is coming back! That’s right. Disney has announced that the dining plan will return on January 9th, 2024 for visitors with stays at Disney World hotels for that date and later. Bookings for the dining plan will start on May 31st, 2023.
The dining plan has been absent since 2020, but we finally know when it will return. Disney offered SOME information about the dining plan’s return, but there are still some missing details — let’s go over those.
We’re convinced that NOTHING has changed more than EPCOT has in the past few years.
Okay, that may be a little dramatic, but hear us out! The park is still covered in construction walls as work is completed on World Celebration and World Nature, but since the EPCOT transformation began, we’ve already seen a new gift shop, multiple new restaurants, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and SO much more. But the construction doesn’t seem to be done yet!
