Disney World is host to some of the best restaurants in the world!
We’re not just saying that because we love these restaurants — Disney World really does have several world-renowned celebrity chef-owned restaurants. From Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ to Master Sommelier George Milotes’ Wine Bar George, you can experience some truly world-class dining at Disney World. Well, one of these celebrity chef-owned restaurant in Disney World is now offering an exclusive dining event.
No matter the season, it can be pretty HOT in Disney World!Â
We know that many of you travel to Disney World at all different parts of the year and we have one BIG piece of advice for staying cool. We’ve mentioned it a million times already, and we’ll mention it a million more times.
People will tell you a LOT of things about Disney World — you’ve “got” to try this, you “can’t” skip this, you should “never” do this — it goes on and on. But there’s one big LIE you might be hearing about Disney World right now.
Genie+ is the paid system that has replaced FastPass+. With Genie+, you pay a certain amount depending on whether you buy a multi-park or single-park option (and depending on the day on which you visit), and then you can make Genie+ selections one at a time throughout the day. Your Genie+ selection lets you SKIP the standby line at the ride you select once the return time you pick arrives. The system can be incredibly useful (though confusing) but there’s one big lie people say about it that you should NOT believe.
Disney World is constantly changing, which is part of why so many of us want to revisit it over and over.
Some changes are great, like the new Shiki-Sai restaurant that just opened in EPCOT. Some changes are controversial, and we know so many of our readers are still frustrated about Genie+. Some changes, though, have been going under the radar, like Disney World was hoping we didn’t notice.
EPCOT SURPRISED us with an EARLY release of their newest World Showcase restaurant! And we got to try it out on OPENING DAY!
But is this new table service living up to those HIGH expectations put upon it… or are we gonna continue booking reservations for OTHER EPCOT restaurants instead? Find out during our FULL Shiki Sai: Sushi Izakaya review TODAY, here on DFB Guide. [Read more…]
Disney World is home to a seemingly endless list of rides and attractions.Â
Many of these are considered icons — with theming and thrills that cause the ride to land on the no-skips list. However, there are a few Disney World rides that always seem to land on the MUST-skip list for many visitors. We asked our readers to share with us the rides that were a one-and-done experience for them — the rides they will NEVER ride again. Some of the answers weren’t at all surprising, while others surprised us for sure. Let’s talk about it!
Disney World snacks are often unmatched — and trust us, we’ve pretty much tried them all.
And while you’ve probably heard about some of the most iconic eats at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, we happen to think Animal Kingdom is severely underrated when it comes to snacks. We love snagging the newest eats and treats, but sometimes you just crave an old standby — so come with us to see if one, in particular, still holds up!
We’ve seen our share of EPIC Disney World souvenirs, including a lot of pricey items. We still haven’t seen the price tag for that Disney100 Vespa (and we probably don’t want to). Our minds are still blown by that Star Wars original art we recently spotted in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Some of our favorite pricey souvenirs, though, are probably those found in Crystal Arts by Arribas Bros. — and if you’ve visited that shop in Magic Kingdom, you’ll know some of those souvenirs cost some serious moolah. Well, there’s a NEW expensive work of art being created at Crystal Arts, and this time, it’s a CASTLE.
Changes happen seemingly every day at Disney World.
While some of these changes are temporary (like new EPCOT festivals and seasonal decorations in the parks), some changes are permanent. Restaurants, shops, rides, and hotels permanently close from time to time, and in 2023, there were definitely quite a few closures.
