Stitch is practically a celebrity!
Yep, 6/26 is known as Stitch Day, and Disney World is in on the celebration. We’ve seen special merchandise online, some pranks performed by Stitch on the Disney Twitter account, and throughout the parks, you can grab some specialty treats for a very limited time. Let’s talk about it!

runDisney has multiple events that happen throughout each year, and we love hearing about what new themes the races are going to have. New races were just recently announced for the holidays this year, and now we know the theme of what one of next year’s races will be!
Dining options in Disney World are constantly changing.
Japan pavilion
Price increases hit some of our favorite restaurants, new dining locations take over old ones, and seasonal menus come and go throughout the parks. Thankfully, these changes can lead to exciting new experiences in the park, and Disney has shared that EPCOT would be getting just that this summer. Shiki-Sai Izakaya and Sushi is a table-service restaurant coming to the Japan pavilion, presenting a “festive dining experience in a sharable Izakaya-style.” We’ve been waiting for the news of its exact location since it has been announced, and now, we have a new clue about its potential whereabouts.
While the Magic Kingdom fireworks get the big reputation, the fireworks at EPCOT do have a niche but loyal following of Disney fans.
EPCOT
Yep, EPCOT has hosted nightly fireworks shows since the park opened in 1982 — creating four decades’ worth of memories for many Disney World visitors. Many Disney fans even argue that they enjoy the fireworks in EPCOT more than the ones in Magic Kingdom, due to lower crowds, more vantage points from which to view the show, as well as the contemporary music that accompanies the fireworks. If you’re a fan of EPCOT, the park’s firework shows, or if you’re hoping to become one, this post is for you!

Genie+ is changing…AGAIN this week.
We’ve seen it all: from surge pricing to new rides getting added to the feature, it’s been tricky staying on top of everything that HAS changed with Genie+. We recently got word that Genie+ was going to have some MASSIVE changes soon, and well, the time has come to remind you of those changes.
While Disney World is a dream most of the time, things do go awry at times. Sometimes, things can get downright creepy.
Haunted Mansion
When things don’t go according to plan at Disney World, the Cast Members need a way to communicate with each other without disturbing or frightening guests. That’s where a sort of “code language” comes in! Yep, the Cast Members at Disney World have code words and a secret language for all sorts of things, from how to discreetly communicate that someone has vomited to what they say in order to keep chaos at a minimum if an ambulance is called.
