UPDATED October 22, 2024
A NEW theme park is opening in Orlando, Florida on May 22nd, 2025: Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe!
In January 2024, Universal Orlando revealed details about the five themed lands that will make up Epic Universe: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and the land we’re discussing here: Celestial Park!
Your adventure starts as you enter underneath the Cronos — a large clock tower (as rendered in the concept art above). And from here, you can step through four other portals into the park’s additional lands.
You see, Celestial Park will serve as the heart and main hub of Epic Universe. Universal shared that this land “will be the gateway to explore the four additional worlds of Epic Universe,” and is naturally the first land guests will encounter at the new theme park after stepping through the entrance.
According to Universal’s announcement, “Celestial Park puts the ‘park’ back in ‘theme park.’ As soon as guests enter the imaginative world, they’ll embark on a journey of discovery, thrills, and excitement as they wander through lush living gardens nestled along shimmering waters surrounded by stunning architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements.”
Celestial Park Attractions
Stardust Racers
Stardust Racers is a dual-launch racing coaster that’ll take you soaring through the skies to see who’s the fastest of them all. Two vehicles launch simultaneously and “race” each other!
The coaster will reach speeds up to 62 miles per hour, and the track will reach up to 133 feet high. (YOW!) In total, there are 5,000 feet of track. The ride vehicles will resemble comets (and will be fully illuminated at night), and they “race along an inverted crisscross, known as the ‘Celestial Spin’ in a dazzling display of blazing colors and ethereal music.”

Universal also mentions that, “The ceiling of Constellation Carousel is a Star Tracker featuring rotating celestial star patterns, with a center Mesmerizer creating a ribbon cone effect above you while riding.”
