Das Stakehaus -- Universal's Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort

When you are monstrously hungry during your day at Universal’s Epic Universe (opening on May 22, 2025), grab a bite to eat at Das Stakehouse!

Found in Dark Universe, Das Stakehaus is a quick-service restaurant within Dark Universe themed around an “old inn and dining hall built over the ruins of ancient catacombs.”

The restaurant will feature vampire artwork and artifacts and meals will be served by “familiars”, also known as vampire servants. The immersive theming is meant to give you the perspective of vampires themselves, as the paintings and architecture depict vampires as “heroes in their stories while displaying some of Darkmoor’s history, and referencing its architecture.”

The menu will feature burgers, kebabs, sandwiches, and more. (The name is not only a play on the Eastern European setting of vampire lore, but a literal play on words — “stake” instead of “steak” as it relates to vampires is a fiendishly funny double entendre!) Dishes will include Stakes (of course!), a “Blood” Orange Chicken Sandwich, Our Favorite Vegan Familiar’s Stuffed Cabbage, and Carved Staked Steak. Reaper’s Reserve – the Dark Universe signature beer — will also be on offer. Be sure to check out the photos below!

Stakes (Das Stakehaus) – guests can sink their teeth into a scrumptious meal on a stake with a choice of three protein options – Fish on a Stake (blackened salmon steak), Bird on a Stake (grilled dry rubbed chicken tenderloin) or Bits and Pieces (seared and glazed wild mushroom brisket meatloaf) – all served with roasted veggies and charred green onion mashed potatoes

“Blood” Orange Chicken Sandwich (Das Stakehaus) – flash-fried marinated chicken breast tossed in a tantalizing blood orange sauce served in a sinister black bun with tangy pickles, a slaw and crispy fries
