UPDATED September 3, 2024
The West Side of Disney Springs in Disney World hosted a BRAND NEW Drone show above Lake Buena Vista: “Disney Dreams That Soar” is inspired by Disney stories that showcase flight!
UPDATE: Dream That Soar ended its summer run on September 2nd, 2024, but we are keeping this information here with hopes that it returns to Disney Springs in the future!
This unique production-in-the-sky made its debut on May 24th, and its initial season ran through September 2nd, 2024.
To say Dreams That Soar is a hit is an understatement, as evidenced not only by reactions to the production, but also by the crowds in attendance! Here, we’re taking a look at the show itself, as well as the logistics to seeing the production (along with some tips for navigating those crowds).
Let’s SOAR….
“Disney Dreams That Soar” — The Show
Disney Dreams that Soar showcases Disney stories that celebrate the joy and wonder of FLYING! The stories are shared with state-of-the-art drones (800 of them!) choreographed to form 400-feet tall designs in the sky, featuring some of your favorite Disney characters and icons. (Look for friends from Toy Story, Coco, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Up, Star Wars, and more!)
These are paired with classic and beloved songs and quotes from favorite Disney films. You’ll also hear an original song that was written just for the show!
Having seen the production ourselves, we can say that it definitely lives up to the hype! We have provided a few pictures on this page, but if you don’t mind show spoilers, you can check out some of our VIDEOS to see it in action HERE.

“Disney Dreams That Soar” — When and Where to Watch
WHEN: “Dreams That Soar” is 10-minutes in length and was shown nightly through September 2nd, 2024. It was primarily presented at 9PM and 10:45PM; however, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app to confirm showtimes for your preferred dates if it returns in the future. Be aware that the show may be canceled in the case of inclement weather.
WHERE: The viewing area for Dreams That Soar is located on the West Side of Disney Springs along the water between the Aerophile balloon and the Cirque du Soliel Theatre. Signs are posted in Disney Springs to direct guests to the viewing area.
These areas are first-come, first-served, so keep that in mind for planning.
We also heard a pro tip that the rooftop bar at the Coca-Cola store is another great spot to catch the show!
Please be aware, though, that the show’s accompanying soundtrack will likely be muted, as the rooftop bar plays its own music.
“Disney Dreams That Soar” — Tips for Navigating the Crowds
Remember when I mentioned that the show is a hit? Well, here is an example of the kinds of crowds we’ve experienced:
With that in mind, we want to share a couple of tips. First and foremost, if your touring itinerary allows, we highly recommend attending the night’s SECOND showing instead of the first, if possible.
Additionally, if you can see the production on a Sunday through Thursday evening — avoiding Friday and Saturday night — that will likely help, as well.
But that’s not all…
“Dreams That Soar” — Exclusive Viewing Experiences
If you’d rather put your mind more at ease, we’ve included information below on some exclusive viewing experiences for Dreams That Soar! Both of these experiences are offered at Jaleo. In addition to delicious tapas-style dining, Jaleo boasts a lakeside view from the back of the restaurant.
Jaleo — Standing Area
Jaleo’s first option allows you into their roped-off section to view the show. This option is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will also allow you access to the restaurant’s full bar and nearby bathrooms (that’s a huge plus)! This option will only accommodate standing areas for viewers and to get in, you’ll need to pay $35.
Cast Members at the restaurant are currently encouraging viewers to arrive at least an hour prior to each show time if they want access to this area.
Jaleo — Views with Dining
Jaleo is also offering a tasting experience where you’ll dine on tasty light plates along the restaurant’s lakeside for $79. Here’s a peek at the menu offerings:
You can also pair an espresso martini with your meal for an additional $12.
Some TIPS for your reservation: These Jaleo reservations can be booked currently through Open Table. You’ll want to book a reservation at 7:30PM for the first drone showing and at 9:30PM for the second showing. It’s also helpful to note that since the tasting experience isn’t exclusively bookable on Open Table, you’ll want to make sure that Lakeside seating has been requested for each reservation so the restaurant knows you’re looking for the tasting experience.
Jaleo kindly requests that each table limits their seated experience to 90 minutes from the time their first order is placed in an effort to accommodate more dining parties looking to experience the next show.
