Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Attraction Updates
During our last trip to Animal Kingdom Lodge, we saw the baby Okapi, Beni, out on the savanna with his mom and dad.
It’s Beni!
You can say hello to Beni when he’s out on the Pembe Savanna at Kidani Village.
Construction Updates
Over at Jambo House, the hot tub and spa were temporarily closed. We’ll be watching for this spot to reopen.

Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
Construction Updates
It looks like some exterior work has been going on outside some rooms overlooking the BoardWalk — we saw some large equipment in the area recently.
Construction is afoot!
And, things appear to be coming along nicely at the Cake Bake Shop! We don’t have a definitive opening date for this restaurant yet, but we do know it’ll be welcoming us sometime later this year.

We also noticed that the Concierge Lounge has reopened in the lobby of this hotel!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Construction Updates
Things are REALLY starting to come together here with the construction of the new Disney Vacation Club area coming to the Polynesian Village Resort.

Over the Grand Floridian Resort, construction continues on some of the buildings.

Certain areas are in the process of being updated here.

The lobby is also set to receive some changes in the future. We’ve seen a number of permits filed for work around the Grand Floridian, so that is something to be aware of if you’ll be staying there in the upcoming weeks/months.

The new DVC building coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is really starting to take shape.
