BIG CHANGES have come to Disneyland Resort’s Lightning Lanes!

The Disney Genie service (with optional add-ons available for purchase) made its debut within the Disneyland app in December 2021. Disney Genie provided on-the-go planning tools and access to “Lightning Lanes” (which allow guests to bypass an attraction’s Standby line) to help guests maximize their time in the Disneyland Resort theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

But changes have come to Genie+ at Disneyland! First, there are official name changes for the Lightning Lane services that were previously part of Disney Genie.

Disney Genie+ has become Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Individual Lightning Lanes have become Lightning Lane Single Pass. And on October 23rd, 2024, a NEW third option, the all-inclusive Lightning Lane Premier Pass made its debut.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass

A NEW third option, Lightning Lane Premier Pass made its debut on October 23rd, 2024! This inclusive option grants one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane experience in both of the Disneyland Resort theme parks for one price, eliminating the need to monitor Lightning Lane availability and make new Lighting Lane reservations throughout the day, and granting the ability to simply show up at an attraction and enter the Lightning Lane (as opposed to booking a specific time).

PLEASE BE AWARE that this new option is subject to “VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY,” per the Disneyland website. It is not yet known if limited availability refers strictly to the rollout period.

When Can I Purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass?

Disney shared that Lightning Lane Premier Passes can be purchased up to 2 days before your visit starting at 7AM Pacific time. These are subjected to very limited availability. Before you purchase, everyone in your party will need valid park admission and park reservations for that date.

How Much Does Lightning Lane Premier Pass Cost?

According to the Disneyland website, Lightning Lane Premier Pass will cost $400 per person, per day through December 31, 2024. Starting in 2025, prices “will vary by date and demand within a $300 to $400 range.”

Which Rides Are Included with Lightning Lane Premier Pass?

ALL of the rides included with BOTH Lightning Lane Multi Pass AND Lightning Lane Single Pass (the pay-per-ride option) are included with Lightning Lane Premier Pass. The full list of included attractions per park is as follows:

PLEASE NOTE: Haunted Mansion Holiday is currently only available through a Virtual Queue as Disney works to make some improvements and enhancements in the attraction’s queue area. Also, Pirates of the Caribbean is only available with Lightning Lane access for a limited time — it is not on this list permanently.
