UPDATED November 15, 2024
BIG CHANGES have come to Disneyland Resort’s Lightning Lanes!
The Disney Genie service (with optional add-ons available for purchase) made its debut within the Disneyland app in December 2021. Disney Genie provided on-the-go planning tools and access to “Lightning Lanes” (which allow guests to bypass an attraction’s Standby line) to help guests maximize their time in the Disneyland Resort theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
But changes have come to Genie+ at Disneyland! First, there are official name changes for the Lightning Lane services that were previously part of Disney Genie.
Disney Genie+ has become Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Individual Lightning Lanes have become Lightning Lane Single Pass. And on October 23rd, 2024, a NEW third option, the all-inclusive Lightning Lane Premier Pass made its debut.
This page explores ALL THREE Lighting Lane options for use in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is an optional paid service available within the Disneyland App that allows you to bypass standby queues and instead enter the Lightning Lane (previously known as the FastPass+ line) at select attractions.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass starts at $32 per day, per ticket at Disneyland Resort. If you’re visiting on a busier day, the price will likely be higher than that, because prices vary by date, and the Lightning Lane Multi Pass service is subject to availability. The highest price we have seen in Disneyland Resort is $35 per day, per ticket.
Guests can find the pricing for the day on the home screen of the Disneyland app.
Guests are able to select return times for 1 ride at a time with a one-hour arrival window. Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections can be made upon entering the theme park in Disneyland theme parks. Once you use a selection, you can make another one based on what is still available on the Disneyland app.
There is no limit to the amount of rides guests are able to select (pending availability for each attraction).
WHEN TO PURCHASE LIGHTNING LANE MULTI PASS:
Guests can purchase and add Lightning Lane Multi Pass to a park ticket or vacation package in advance for $30 per ticket, per day OR purchase it once they enter a theme park (which is subject to date-based pricing starting at $30 per ticket, per day) via the Disneyland app.
Lightning Lane selections can be made upon entering the theme park in Disneyland theme parks.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass
A NEW third option, Lightning Lane Premier Pass made its debut on October 23rd, 2024! This inclusive option grants one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane experience in both of the Disneyland Resort theme parks for one price, eliminating the need to monitor Lightning Lane availability and make new Lighting Lane reservations throughout the day, and granting the ability to simply show up at an attraction and enter the Lightning Lane (as opposed to booking a specific time).
PLEASE BE AWARE that this new option is subject to “VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY,” per the Disneyland website. It is not yet known if limited availability refers strictly to the rollout period.
When Can I Purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass?
Guests must have valid admission to a Disneyland Resort theme park prior to purchasing, and may purchase up to two days prior to their park visit, starting at 7AM Pacific Time.
How Much Does Lightning Lane Premier Pass Cost?
According to the Disneyland website, Lightning Lane Premier Pass costs $400 per person, per day through December 31, 2024. Starting in 2025, prices “will vary by date and demand within a $300 to $400 range.”
