Are you hoping to dine at a Table Service restaurant in Disney World, but don’t have an Advance Dining Reservation? The Mobile Dine Walk-up Waitlist feature on the My Disney Experience app allows guests to view Table Service restaurants that have available seating for walk-up guests!
How can you find out which restaurants have availability for walk-up guests? Let’s walk through it…
Checking Walk-up Availability
There are a few options to check Walk-up Waitlist availability, and two are available via the My Disney Experience app.
One option to check for a specific restaurant’s availability is to use the search feature in the app and type in a restaurant’s name to find its page.
If the restaurant offers Walk-Up Waiting, you’ll see the “Join Walk-Up List” among the icons. If you like what you see with the Estimated Wait Time (below you’ll see an example of 55 minutes), simply click that icon and go through the prompts from there to reserve your spot on the Waitlist!
Of course, if there is no availability at the participating restaurant, you’ll see a notice on the page accordingly.
You can also see estimated wait times and join the Walk-up Waitlist within the Disney Genie section of the My Disney Experience app.
Simply navigate to “Dining” from the home screen (as seen on the bottom right).
And from there, you’ll see ALL of your options with a simple scroll! Participating restaurants will show the Walk-Up List option along with current wait times or status.
Note that, in order to join the walk-up list, you may be prompted to move closer to the restaurant depending on your current location.
If you are already physically at a restaurant you would like to dine at, you may also scan a QR code located posted in the restaurant’s lobby, where available.
Disney notes that, in these instances, “There’s no need to visit the host stand to check availability.”
And now, here’s the fun part: simply join the waitlist and soon after… ENJOY your meal!
