Y’all…there is SO much construction going on in Disneyland right now.

Yes, it’s awesome that we’re getting so many new things, including an Avatar-themed land and a new Coco ride. Downtown Disney is FULL of construction walls, but SO MANY NEW RESTAURANTS are coming to the area. Haunted Mansion is getting a new queue and gift shop! We’re also excited about Critter Country becoming Bayou Country and bringing a re-themed Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree with it. We’re MOSTLY excited about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, though, which is making BIG progress: we spotted ride testing recently!

There are so many new and exciting projects coming to Disney World!

At D23 this past August, we got a look into all the new attractions that will be making their way to Disney World. Magic Kingdom will see the addition of a Disney Villains land beyond Big Thunder Mountain. Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America will close to make way for two brand-new Cars attractions. Animal Kingdom will see a big re-vamp as It’s Tough to be a Bug! will close to make way for a brand new show called Zootopia: Better Zoogether. DinoLand U.S.A. will also close and be re-themed to Pueblo Esperanza, a Tropical Americas-themed land that will feature three brand new rides. That does not even scratch the surface as other projects are coming to EPCOT, such as Test Track 3.0 and Hollywood Studios, like the new Monsters, Inc. land. While we are pumped about all these new additions to Disney World, we are wondering why nothing has been said about these five abandoned attractions.

Southwest Airlines Is Slashing Routes To a Popular City

A lot of changes are coming to Southwest Airlines.

The good news is that one of those changes is NOT charging for checked bags: the airline recently confirmed free checked bags are here to stay. However, big changes are coming to how you board a Southwest flight, including assigned seating which will become available in 2025, which has caused a little controversy with its customers. New premium seating options are also on the way, as are changes at airports. Southwest also recently announced it will be cutting routes from the nation’s largest airport.

On August 7th, the Walt Disney Company an earnings report revealed lower demand for the company’s domestic theme parks, including Disney World. Calling it “flat” theme park attendance, Disney Chief Financial Officer Hugh Johnston suggested that the theme park business is in a healthy spot, but slowing down at a tolerable rate. With massive expansions involving several beloved IPs on the horizon, this bump in the road is not expected to be permanent, so for those looking to take advantage of lower Disney World attendance, now’s the time.

Disney Cruise Line Warns Passengers of Possible DELAYS Due to Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene continues to hamper Disney operations on the East Coast of the United States.

Disney Wish docked at Castaway Cay

Just this week, a state of emergency was declared for Disney World and 61 counties in Florida after Hurricane Helene strengthened and shifted course from the Gulf of Mexico, making its way into Central Florida. However, Disney World isn’t the only Disney destination affected by this storm, as we now know that the Disney Cruise Line is submitting warnings as well.
