These days, if you’re heading to Disney World, you should probably be prepared to use your phone a LOT.
From booking Lightning Lanes to making dining reservations to Mobile Ordering food and checking wait times, there are SO many tasks you’ll do on the My Disney Experience app each day of your trip. However, the app doesn’t always work as intended! Technology can be finicky, and this morning, many people are having some big vacation planning problems.
So, here at Disney Food Blog, we have serious opinions about Disney food — it’s kinda what we do.
We’ll be the first to let you know about new snacks in Disney World, as well as get you updated reviews when restaurants change their menus. We’ll also talk a LOT about some of our favorite snacks (oh, Dole Whip, how do we love thee?), but we also have some snacks we just don’t like…like at all. However, now we’re going to have a chat about snacks that are just WAY overrated.
Look at this photo. It’s perfect. The greenery is stunning. The foliage is fantastic. The floating mountains are monumental. Disney did something RIGHT when they built Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — that’s for sure.
We’ve been taking in the sights, sounds, and even smells of this land ever since it opened, so we know a thing or two about the land and everything inside it. That’s why we were especially perplexed by this WEIRD new addition at Pandora. We need to talk about it.
We see a lot of Disney World trends. Biker shorts + oversized t-shirts? A classic. Boxer shorts in the theme parks? Yep. It was a thing. Tote bags? People LOVE them! But what’s on the horizon? We might have a few ideas!
Amazon just released some NEW Disney Loungefly bags, and we can already tell that fans are gonna love them. Don’t be surprised if you see these bags all over your Instagram feed in the next few weeks, OK?
Well, another week has passed in Disney World, and how is it already the middle of September?
Well, it is, and we’ve had another busy week of eating ALL the things in Disney World. You might find us, though, hanging out at the Happy Hour at The Edison some days in Disney Springs, although we did spend a little time getting to know the new menu at Pecos Bill in Magic Kingdom (and we’ll get to those changes in a bit). We also tried six NEW snacks in Disney World — and we have thoughts. Additionally, we spent some time digging through Disney World restaurant menus to track other changes, so let’s get to the menu updates.
Well, friends…even though Lightning McQueen is leaving Hollywood Studios, you’ll see him in a Disney World park again.
You see, the Cars are coming to Magic Kingdom! The park will start to prepare for the recently announced Cars expansion SOON, with work slated to begin in early 2025. And we’re chatting about exactly where those Cars will be parking themselves in Magic Kingdom. [Read more…]
We have a confession: we’re getting addicted to LEGO, and well, we think maybe some our DFB readers are, too, because y’all really like the LEGO sets.
We don’t blame you. You put together one LEGO set and you’re suddenly wanting to buy ALL the LEGO sets and, well, there are a lot to get, including so many Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel sets. Well, we went on a quest to find some LEGO sets that are currently on sale at Amazon and Target (our two favorite places to shop), and we’re now sharing those discounted sets with you!
Disney Cruise Line is about to expand in a HUGE way.
Disney keeps adding new ships to its lineup, including the Disney Treasure (which sets sail later this year), the Disney Adventure, and the Disney Destiny. But that’s not all. Disney recently announced it’s adding even MORE ships to its fleet. Whew…Disney Cruise Line is busy right now. That means Disney will also be looking for folks to work on those cruise ships, including performers. Well, a NEW opportunity has just turned up for performers who want to work on a Disney Cruise ship.
Summer may be drawing to a close, but the sun is still shining and keeping Central Florida hot!
While fall is around the corner, Florida does not feel like fall quite yet. We go to Disney World every day, and while we are there, we know how important it is to protect yourself from the sun. While we stay hydrated and wear sunscreen, there is one thing that we always keep in our park bag to help us stay cool.
