Earlier this year at the 2024 D23 Ultimate Fan Event, Disney confirmed that the entirety of the Animal Kingdom opening day area was being closed to make way for the park’s new Tropical Americas land. Later this year, the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows will open, and we’ve been keeping an eye out for all the updates we can get. We’ve seen a sneak peek at some of the rooms and other areas of the hotel, including a full 3D room tour, too. But, we happened to notice something as we were perusing through the concept art — and we think you might be excited about it too!

But sometimes, it is good to venture outside of Disney World to hit up the two outlet malls that are near Disney World and take a trip to the Character Warehouse or get a bite to eat outside of Disney property. If you were looking to dine outside of Disney World, we wanted to give you a heads-up that a popular restaurant in Kissimmee has just permanently closed.

Disney Springs has had a recent trend of stores closing for refurbishment. However, some of them end up closing for good only to have other stores take their place. We’ve been really worried about the future of this sweet treat spot, as its reopening timeline has shifted multiple times over the past few weeks, but we’re happy to report that it’s FINALLY back open!
