This decades-old Disney ride is being replaced.Â
Change is a fact of life at Disney theme parks. Over the years — for better or worse — many rides, shows, attractions, and even whole lands have been shuttered after decades to be replaced by new and updated ones. Next month, one of the core attractions of Tokyo Disneyland’s Tomorrowland will fall victim to this progress.Â
The executive team at The Walt Disney Company has been changing quite a bit since Bob Iger returned to his role as the company’s CEO in 2022.
This is actually fairly normal for a company, especially when priorities begin to shift, and executives go on to other roles in the company or find other opportunities outside of the company. Several executives have left over the past few years, but one Disney executive recently chose to step down to focus on her other priorities within the company: making sequels to the popular Frozen franchise of films.
We all love going to EPCOT, right??!!
Out of all the parks at Disney World, EPCOT just feels different and special, right? Also, it really has it all when you think about food, rides, and other types of experiences. Now, we all have our favorite things to do there like eating and drinking around the world or trying to hit up every single attraction in one go. That all got us thinking about some of the things we shouldn’t be doing at EPCOT, so we reached out to you to get your thoughts on the matter. Well, we asked and you delivered!
OK, it’s time to confess. Who here prefers to sleep with icy cold central air? Who blasts the A.C. in their hotel room? Don’t worry — this is a safe space. We won’t judge you, no matter the temperature you may set your thermostat. When staying in a Central Florida hotel, you need a room with good working air conditioning; it can get HOT outside.
Well, if you prefer to sleep with the air conditioning on full blast, you may need to listen up. Disney just shared an important announcement about a temporary outage at Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort. Let’s talk about it!
The new Disney Treasure cruise ship just reached a HUGE milestone.
This brand-new ship will be the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, and it is officially on the move!
Dining in Disney World can be tricky. There are so many restaurants to choose from with some quick service locations being a little too bland for your tastebuds, but sometimes table service dining prices can add more to your trip than you were originally budgeting for.
But if you do research before your trip and decide to book a dining reservation at a table-service restaurant, that’s fantastic! However, if you’re on your vacation and you decide against it for whatever reason such as deciding that you don’t want to spend 1-2 hours sitting down if you have other priorities or realizing you’re tighter on your budget than you thought, there’s a BIG mistake you could make when you go to cancel your reservation that could cost you more than you were expecting.
Getting rid of free services, adding LOTS of upcharges, making hotels more exclusive, and making it harder for frequent visitors.
Disney is definitely acting like they want your money, but is that what’s really going on?
When most people think of Disney World, booze likely isn’t the first thing that comes to mind.
After all, Magic Kingdom was a fully dry park — with no alcohol at all — until not too long ago. But, that has certainly changed in recent years and now, many people like to spend their Disney days imbibing with a cocktail or beer when they’re at the parks. And if you ask us, there’s one place in Disney World where you can find some excellent happy hours — and a new one just joined the block!
It’s ALDI time again!Â
In recent years, ALDI has become one of our FAVORITE places to shop for Disney-related items. The quickly expanding German supermarket chain offers everything from Disney souvenirs and toys to ESSENTIAL theme park items to ensure a happy trip. Each week, we scour their newest listings, and they nearly never disappoint. However, since ALDI doesn’t offer online shopping, we’ve also tracked down some equivalent items on Amazon for those of you without a geographically convenient ALDI location.Â
