If you’re like me, I’m sure you’ve had your fair share of missed reservations, or super duper long lines, and the occasional treat that just had to dive out of our hands right to the ground. Thinking about all that, have you ever had one of those premonitions that basically spell trouble for your Disney World trip? Well, we reached out to you to get your thoughts.
Do you use MagicBands at Disney World?
MagicBand+
In case you’re unfamiliar, a MagicBand or MagicBand+ is a wearable piece of tech that can function as your park ticket, hotel room key, payment method, and a whole lot more. MagicBands have been around for a while, but MagicBand+ — a souped-up version of the original — are newer and have features that can interact with park attractions. Disney just rolled out some new functions on MagicBand+, so you know we had to check them out!

Imagine waking up every morning to Disney magic all around you — how amazing would that be? Well, Disney is kinda bringing that concept to life with its residential communities. In 2022, the company announced Storyliving by Disney, which seeks to create communities with HOUSES YOU CAN BUY that will let you live within the Disney magic 24/7. Right now, two communities are in the works, including Asteria in North Carolina and Cotino in California. Well, we’ve been following Cotino’s construction progress, and we’ve got a new update!
We are a little obsessed with Disney Food…like, well, that shouldn’t come as a HUGE surprise because we are the Disney FOOD Blog.
Disney Springs
Sure, we cover other big Disney news, but we always come back around to the food we love, including Mickey waffles, Corn Dog Nuggets (or Mini Corn Dogs, as they’re now called), Cheeseburger Pods, Dole Whip, and more. We also get EXCITED when new snacks drop in Disney World. So you can imagine how fast we ran to Disney Springs to try two new menu items at Chicken Guy! (which is one of our fave quick service locations in Disney Springs!).
Magic Kingdom is about to be VERY busy — and we don’t mean with people.
Frontierland
A lot of construction will be coming to the park soon, as Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island get converted into a Cars-themed area as part of a Frontierland expansion. Disney has plans to also build a Villains-themed land in the park, too. PLUS Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for a whole YEAR probably due to all the construction, but also for updates of its own. Well, ahead of that closure, we just spotted some NEW construction in Magic Kingdom. Folks, it’s really happening!
Don’t fall for it, people! That wall of Minnie ears in Disney World is awfully tempting, but there are lots of ways to get a cute Disney accessory without paying full price.

Sleeping Beauty Castle
Construction on the new Haunted Mansion queue and gift shop is still underway. Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree recently opened in what will soon be Bayou Country (goodbye, Critter Country). A new Coco ride and Avatar land is on the way. However, we just took a walk through Disneyland Resort and we noticed some recent changes that we’re excited about!
At this point, a Stanley tumbler is more than just a water bottle. It’s a utility item. It’s an accessory. It’s a place to stick your stickers. It’s a motivator to keep you hydrated. Simply put, it’s an essential!
