One “Out-of-the-Box Candidate” Could REPLACE Disney CEO Bob Iger

Disney CEO Bob Iger is good at a lot of things. He has a talent for acquisitions (as seen by Disney’s acquisition of Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox during his first tenure as CEO) and is popular among many Disney fans. However, if you look at Iger’s weaknesses, choosing a successor seems to be at the top of the list.

Iger struggled to choose a successor the first time he left the position of Disney’s CEO, ultimately selecting Bob Chapek to take his place. It was reported that Iger later regretted that decision, and Chapek left the position just a couple of short years later. Now, Iger is back at the top, and he’s facing a lot of pressure from the company’s Board of Directors to find another successor. Could one surprising candidate be at the top of his list? Disney Executive SPOTTED in Magic Kingdom

Disney executives have been in the news since Bob Iger returned to Disney as CEO in November 2022.

One of these executives is Josh D’Amaro, the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, who has commented on many of Disney’s recent changes. He shared that Disney is “constantly adapting” its business to create a “better experience for guests, and to build a foundation so we can introduce new stories and experiences in the future.” It looks like D’Amaro wants to get a closer look at the guest experience because we spotted him in Magic Kingdom!

Splash Mountain closed its doors for good in Disney World back in January.

The ride is now being turned into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in both Disney World and Disneyland (although Splash Mountain has yet to close in Disneyland).
