Park Passes — love them or hate them, they’re in use right now in Disney World and you can’t avoid them, except in very specific cases!

While a Park Pass is generally required (in addition to a valid ticket) for all Disney World theme parks, there are some situations where you can visit a Disney theme park without a Park Pass at all. But you’ll need to know ALL the rules to make sure you get it right. That’s where we come in.

For quite some time, Disney has been in a battle with activist investor Nelson Peltz (and Trian Partners). One reporter even called it the “fight for the future of Disney.” Peltz has launched his proxy battle and is encouraging shareholders to vote “withhold” on another board nominee and “for” Peltz, giving him a seat on Disney’s Board of Directors. Disney has made it clear that they do NOT support Peltz’s bid for a seat on the Board. But just when will we know how this battle will end? Well, we’ve got an update!

In 2022, Disney announced that the BoardWalk Inn would see some big changes to its restaurants, rooms, lobby, and more! Some of those projects have been completed, including Carousel Coffee and the BoardWalk Deli, but others are still a work in progress. The situation with Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District is really starting to heat up.

The District was previously set to be dissolved on June 1st, but a special session of the Florida legislature that began on February 6th will address the District’s future. On February 6th, a bill was filed that gives a much clearer picture as to what the revised District could look like, and now Disney has finally spoken out on the issue.
