There are still two more days to go at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and we know we’re getting MORE exciting announcements over the course of the next 48 hours. We are at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend, and so far, it has absolutely proved itself to be ULTIMATE.
Star Tours in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
We got to talk to a Rocket Raccoon that literally threw shade at us. We saw trailers for some AMAZING upcoming movies, including Mufasa, the live-action Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, a first look at live-action Stitch, and SO MUCH MORE. We even got to see a ride vehicle for an upcoming Avengers Campus attraction! Y’all — we’re just getting started. However, there is something we just saw that might be the BEST THING EVER.

I’m back again with another round of WHAT’S NEW UPDATES AT DISNEY WORLD, a rundown on all the epic news and updates that happened at Disney World this past week. This week we got the 4-1-1 on a popular Disney Springs Store unexpectedly CLOSING, Magic Kingdom getting into the Halloween spirit, and a first look at Mickey and Minnie’s NEW Halloween Costumes! Are y’all ready? Okay, let’s go!
Disney World will continue to see closures this coming week.
Magic Kingdom
We’ve been keeping tabs on several closures around Disney World for a while now. While nothing new will close this week, several attractions, restaurants, and an entire water park will be closed the week of August 10th through August 17th. If you’re headed to the parks, be aware that a few rides, shows, and restaurants will not be open and operating.
Halloween season has officially kicked off in Disney World, along with the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom. We’re checking OUT everything we can at the party, but most importantly, we’re trying the FOOD.
Mickey at Town Square Theater
The party runs on select nights from August 9th through October 31st, and there is a lot to see, do, and more importantly…eat! A ticket will get you the opportunity to meet rare characters, see exclusive entertainment, ride your favorite attractions with shorter wait times, and get exclusive snacks. Well, we came for the snacks, so let’s check some out!
It’s here, spooky readers! Halloween has officially arrived in Disney World because the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party took place last night!

We are had SO much fun experiencing everything the party has to offer: from exclusive characters to exclusive snacks (ALL the snacks, y’all!) to exclusive entertainment, we are ready to jump into Halloween season head-first. The party also has exclusive ride overlays that are sure to put you in a Halloween spirit, too, so let’s take a look at those!

We tried all the snacks, rode tons of rides, and watched the spooky parade. Of course, we got to trick-or-treat as well! There are our favorite characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes, and lots of new merchandise. But we’re taking a peek at a new item that we’re super excited about — a new Minnie Mouse sipper.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Earlier this year, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened to great fanfare — and technical issues — at the Magic Kingdom. Around the time the attraction opened, it was announced that it would be available during the annual Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party seasonal event!
