We’re kicking off the season with a visit to the newly-returned Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! We stopped by on the first night of the 2024 party season to check out the offerings, including the entertainment, snacks, and, of course, the trick-or-treating. We are SO excited to be here at the party, enjoying all the trick-or-treating (candy for DAYS, y’all), the special characters that we can see ONLY during the party, the exclusive entertainment, and the exclusive party snacks. But there’s one very important thing you’ll need if you plan on attending the party, and that’s the official Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party map.
We’ve seen real, retractable Star Wars lightsabers. We’ve learned about omnidirectional treadmill technology called “the HoloTile floor.” We’ve seen all kinds of AMAZING robot technology. What will they think of next?!

Disney has plenty of top-secret projects up its sleeves, that’s for sure! But what we just witnessed just might take the cake. Prepare to see something VERY interesting. OK, we did NOT expect to see this during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

Halloween in Magic Kingdom
The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of 2024 is here! The Halloween party takes place in Magic Kingdom from August 9th through October 31st. It’s a spook-tacular event that we are excited about each year. There are tons of specialty snacks, exclusive entertainment, spooky ride overlays, and of course, trick-or-treating. We grabbed our specially-priced tickets for the party right when they became available, and now we’re finally here! Let’s take a look at what the crowds are doing this year at the first party of the season.

So far, we’ve hit the Anaheim Convention Center floor running, seen one merchandise booth literally cap its line AS SOON AS THE DOORS OPENED, had a sassy conversation with Rocket Raccoon in real time, seen the new ride vehicle for an upcoming Marvel-themed attraction at Avengers Campus in Disneyland, and more. And we’re just getting started. We also got a TON of new details about the newest ship coming to Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Treasure.
It’s spooky time in Disney World! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has officially kicked off at Magic Kingdom and we’re here to check out EVERYTHING you can experience, but especially the FOOD.
Magic Kingdom
The parties run on certain nights from August 9th and October 31st, and there is so much to see, do, and eat while you’re there. At this event you can meet rare characters, see exclusive entertainment, ride rides with shorter wait times, and purchase specialty food that’s ONLY available at the event. However, there are also some great Halloween snacks you can check out ALL DAY in Magic Kingdom, so whether you’re in the parks before the party begins or you’re not attending the party this year, we’ve grabbed every single snack you can grab during the day and are ready to let you know what’s worth it and what isn’t!

Y’all — we are having A BLAST, despite the crowds, and the fact that we couldn’t get in line for the Disney Lorcana booth. However, we’ve had a chance to visit an incredibly immersive Avatar exhibit (it was almost like being in Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom), and we got to see a ride vehicle for a brand new ride. We’ve also had a chance to see some pretty amazing technology, including a Marvel experience that we think needs to come to the parks ASAP.
