There are some great perks that Disney World offers to guests staying at their hotels.
Grand Floridian Resort
If you are staying on Disney property you get a 30-minute early entry to all of the parks. If you want to purchase Lightning Lanes and make ride reservations in advance, hotel guests get to do that 7 days out from check-in versus just 3 days out for non-resort guests. In 2025 there’s a big perk coming for resort guests and it includes 2 free tickets!

It is hard to believe that 2024 has come and gone, and we are hours away from welcoming 2025! There is so much to look forward to in the New Year, and Disney knows how to celebrate! We are in the parks today checking out the crowd levels ahead of tonight’s big celebrations in EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom is about to go through some serious changes.

To start off, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for at least a year for an update. Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America are also about to be completely reimagined into a new Cars expansion in Frontierland. But wait…there’s more! That’s because a new Villains-themed land is coming to the area behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Magic Kingdom is even getting a new nighttime parade! In the meantime, let’s just say Magic Kingdom is going to look VERY different over the next few years.

However, while you’re thinking of when to book your trip, what to pack, and how many days to spend exploring the parks, we also need to warn you that there are some cringey things we’ve seen guests do that we are 100% BEGGING for you to not repeat when you’re visiting the parks in 2025.

While you may not realize it, there are better times to sail with Disney Cruise Line than others, but for different reasons! Dining at table service restaurants in Disney World can be fantastic, but worrying about getting reservations 60 days in advance of your trip and taking 1-2 hours out of your park day just to eat can be stressful, so it may not always be the best fit.

Sometimes, though, you want something a little more elevated than a quick-service meal, which leaves you at a bit of a loss. Fear not, though — there’s a middle ground that we absolutely love, and that’s Disney World lounges! Lounges are fantastic because you get the same elevated menu from table service restaurants without the time expectancy or the reservations. If you want to hit some lounges in 2025 but don’t want to spend an arm and leg for too small of plates, these are the top lounges we recommend!
