Disney World’s big 50th Anniversary Celebration has been going on for about 8 months now, and it’s not even close to being over yet! So far we’ve seen some over-the-top (and delicious) snacks, TWO new fireworks shows, exclusive merchandise, and MORE released for the iconic 18-month celebration.

And, depending on how you get to Disney World, you might be celebrating Disney World’s 50th anniversary BEFORE you even set foot in Florida! For example, Southwest has an ENTIRE PLANE that is decked out for the party featuring EARidescent details and Disney characters both inside and out. And, now another airline has a special offering!
A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King (a modified version of The Festival of the Lion King) in Disney’s Animal Kingdom was one of the first live entertainment shows to reopen in Disney World after the unprecedented closure of the parks at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Right now, the show is a little different than you might remember with modified audience interaction and scenes, though soon it’ll be looking more normal with the Tumble Monkeys and the iconic flying birds returning this summer according to Disney. And, if you’re hoping to catch the updates while you’re visiting, there’s an important update on showtimes that you’ll want to know!
We’re inching closer to the unofficial start of SUMMER! It’s a busy time of year at Disney World with the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival happening NOW through July 4th! The political controversy surrounding Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID) is far from over in Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law that will dissolve RCID, which is a special district that essentially allows Disney World to operate as its own county.

The nature by which the bill to dissolve RCID was passed has been criticized by some, and others worry that the change will place a heavy burden on taxpayers in the counties where Disney World is located. As a result of the bill passing, some taxpayers decided to take legal action by suing Gov. DeSantis. Now we’ve got another update on this saga. [Read more…]

We’ve seen Orange Bird ears, more 50th anniversary ears, some ears that are apparently lost, princess ears, and so many more. So, buckle in for some more merchandise fun because we just found another pair of brand NEW ears in Disney World!

We took a look at TRON Lightcycle Run construction, saw menu changes at various counter service locations, and found a ton of new items around the park! So buckle up, because we’re about to throw a ridiculous amount of new (and restocked) merchandise your way!
