The 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season has wreaked havoc, with Florida and many other areas still picking up the pieces from Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene.

Disney World closed the theme parks, water parks, hotels, and more for the first time in years as Milton made its way over the Orlando area, but made it out with minimal damage. Now, another storm is barrelling through the Caribbean and we’re sharing the latest updates.
Since his surprise return in 2022, Disney CEO Bob Iger has faced several challenges from turning things around for the parks to finding a niche in the world of streaming and even going head-to-head with the Governor of Florida.

But, Iger has announced that he plans to step down in 2026, leaving us wondering just who will take his place. A succession search committee has been at work for a while now, and it sounds like we may be getting closer to having our answer.

If so, and you’re coming with little ones, there’s one thing you absolutely cannot forget (and no, we’re not talking about your appetite) — you need to pack a swimsuit! I know it sounds like a strange choice, so let’s talk about it!
We got creative at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. We went green for the Flower and Garden Festival. We even snacked our way around the world at the Food and Wine Festival. But soon, the final festival of the year will return to EPCOT; the International Festival of the Holidays will run from November 29th through December 30th! The event begins the day after Thanksgiving — just in time for the holiday season.

So, what can we expect this year? Well, we’re still waiting to see what kinds of foods and drinks will return, but we do know that the Candlelight Processional will return, along with the Holiday Storytellers, Â Joyful: A Celebration of the Season, and two classic holiday attraction overlays. If you’re traveling to Disney World in November, you’ll need to be aware of some changes, dates, and possible missteps that could befall you during your trip. But don’t worry — we’ll give you all the details on what to look out for so that you have the best November trip possible!
There are two things you need to know about me. First, I’m obsessed with Halloween. I promise I come by it honestly: I was literally BORN on Halloween (yes, before you ask, Halloween birthdays are THE BEST, but also confusing because for a long time, I thought ALL birthdays were celebrated with costumes and everyone giving you free candy).

Another thing you should know: I love Disneyland. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Disney World, too, but there are just some things about Disneyland (ahem…the FOOD) that makes me love it more. Part of the reason is because Disneyland goes ALL out for Halloween — and, as a Halloween baby, nothing makes me happier. BOTH parks get decorated for the spooky season (and the gigantic Oogie Boogie above the California Adventure gates just makes me giddy this time of year). Oogie Boogie Bash is the superior Disney Halloween party (don’t come at me, but it’s true). Disneyland also has a really cool Halloween tradition that ties into a third thing you need to know about me: I’m a sci-fi nerd.

There’s rarely a day where every single attraction on the property is operating at the same time, as rides and attractions are often down for everything from quick fixes to long restoration projects. Each month, we like to check in on Disney World’s calendar to see what rides will be down and for how long.
